Fresh food, well cooked, and familiar service. Would recommend this place to others looking for a quiet meal in nice restaurant.

This place is not easy to spot for out-of-town visitors since it is located at a far corner of a shopping plaza. We almost gave up looking for it. Fortunately we called the restaurant and the staff there helped us find it. We are glad that we had a chance to try this place. This restaurant does not look too... More

Went on a Wed night and had a good experience. Restaurant was not very crowded when we got there had a party of 6 and had no issues getting a seat. Service was ok, waiter seemed to get lost occasionally. Drinks were all done well and pretty good beer selection. Had the Oyster Po Boy and it was very good.... More

Service - Very Good; Food - Way above average; Location - Convenient to downtown. O.K., that's the simple review. Have been eating here for about 7 years. One of the few places to get raw shucked oysters near downtown. Fish dishes are always cooked well, imaginative and in decent size portions. The menu offers a lot of variety, and the... More

The shrimp and oyster po'-boys here are magnificent. Anytime we don't know where to eat, we choose A W Shuck's. Love their outdoor heaters in the winter and their friendly service in the summer (and winter as well). This is one of the best kept secrets in Norfolk.

Had the oyster sampler pairs of 6 different types of oysters for around $22. Very good. Also had the mussels which come in a red sauce which were also very good. My buddy had the seafood platter which can be either fried or grilled or a combination. For beer - well they have at least 20 on tap with a... More

My Family and I ate here on Friday June 6th, First I wanna say I was overwhelmed by the Beer selection. We started with the Crab Dip and Hush Puppies and both were awesome. My Wife and Mother had the Fish N Chips and my Dad had a Fried Oyster Dinner with Spinach and Mac N Cheese and they all... More

Neighborhood gem, where they remember your face and name. Large portion sizes, good prices and local seafood.
