Good food at reasonable prices

My family and I have dined here several times over the past few years. Sometimes the wait for a table is tedious, but when you're seated the food makes up for it. They have a good selection of delicious oysters. My wife's favorite is their buffalo shrimp. All in all a great value for your money.

called for reservations, said they didn't take them. "you should arrive early to get a seat." We, 8 adults and an infant, arrived 30 minutes before opening, Plenty of open seats and tables, a good sign ......... and were told there was a 11/2 - 2 hour wait. "After we open ........... in 30 minutes ........" WTH!?? "Do you have... More

Went here out of sheer luck because plane delayed 4 hours... Had very fresh oysters on the halfshell and one of their specialties.. Crab Shucks...Outstanding! Great Selection of beers as well.

best seafood in the area hands down. This place is always good and reliable. Not just seafood; their meat loaf is also very good. It does get crowded but they are very good on estimating the wait time and the bar is good place to wait.

The food was good and if you like beer, you'll love this place for they have an impressive variety. The prices were a little high I thought. So, over all, it was fine but didn't impress me enough to make me want to go back.

Go there often for business or family. Very good food. Still to try the raw oysters but their hamburgers are great. Especially the Chesapeake burger that has a crab cake on it.

Monday all you can eat crab leg special. We (table of 2) got two clusters in one half hour, while tables of 4 got over 6. We asked what was the hold up, we thought it was all you can eat, the server responds with, well you are olnly allowed 2 per person at a time? Food was delicious, but... More

A W Shuck's is difficult to find the first time you visit but quickly becomes a well-worn path as you will very likely return the next time you are in Norfolk. Well-appointed bar area with a great selection of draft beer, the seafood is classic Norfok/Chesapeake Bay/Atlantic. The atmosphere is informal and welcoming. This a friendly, lively place with excellent... More

We recently moved to the Norfolk area and this was the first restaurant I wanted to go to. Several visits later it is STILL the yardstick by which we measure all other seafood restaurants. A huge selection of beers makes my husband happy and the wine list for me is superb too. But the great food, interesting daily specials and... More

One of the best meals I've had recently - I ordered flounder stuffed with crabmeat, creamed spinach and mashed potatoes! I had an Irish coffee and water to drink. Everything about this visit was superb. I was content with the meal and so pleased with the service...all at an affordable price. We only waited 10 minutes to be seated -... More
