This place has great beers, bohemian staff, and comedy on stage

Situated in an upscale neighborhood called Ghent, this very eclectic place is a local melting pot. The food is good; nothing that rocks your world but the atmosphere, beers, staff will. The GREAT thing is the kitchen is open late and for me that is a gold mine for a cold winter night, traveling... read more

We went To the tap room on Wednesday night because they do not take reservations. The tap room is small but nice a little loud but its to be expected. The she crab soup was fantastic with large peace of crab my steak, mash potatoes and asparagus which was very good and the grilled vanilla pound cake. my wife had... More

We went to Norfolk Tap Room for dinner during Restaurant week. We were seated without a wait, and came to learn that the one item we both wanted was sold out, days before the special ended. So, we made another choice. Mr. wanted hot tea, they had peppermint, that was it. So, he made another choice. While we were waiting... More

We stopped in at 101 Granby St. on a Sunday afternoon and the sign read Norfolk Taproom, not sure when the named changed. The place was full and busy at 3:30 pm but we found a spot for lunch at the end of the bar. Good beers delivered quickly. The crowd provided the noise due to the conversations but it... More

They have 24 local beers on tap and give you samples of what you think you might like. Both managers were there and were helpful in picking the right beer. Casual atmosphere at night so it was a good experience

In November, 2013, I, and others, were offered early retirement, effective 11/30. My coworkers scrambled to find a venue for my retirement party, and I suggested Trilogy because it is in downtown Norfolk, where most of the guests work, and the party was going to be set on a Thursday at 5:30. I had attended a retirement party at Trilogy... More

This little place was a question to all of my coworkers. Signage is minimal and that makes the questions start flowing when you see something food related pop up in a historic bank. "What is it...a bar, a restaurant, a private club?!" Until we looked it up. Yum, but costly. My fiancé and I visited for an after-show dinner date.... More

An old bank turned into a very nicely decorated restaurant. We went to Trilogy during Norfolk's Restaurant week, so it was unusually crowded. The food was good. They charged extra for bread which I thought was ridiculous. I specifically asked if the bread was home made which I was told "yes". But the bread was pre-made dough from a freezer... More

We tried Trilogy for the first time during Norfolk's downtown restaurant week (July 2013) and liked it so much we stopped in again the following week. Service was not just efficient, it was friendly and the front of house staff from the hostess right on through the bartenders and table staff appear genuinely invested in you enjoying your experience. The... More

The atmosphere and food at Trilogy is very nice. The service is average at best. I had to ask for a drink refill several times throughout my visit. The restaurant was not very busy but the hostess acted like my request for a table other than the original one she took me to was a problem for her. The crabcake... More
