Description: Featuring sweeping views of the Elizabeth River from the waterfront ballroom, terrace, and herb garden, VINTAGE KITCHEN has quickly become a community favorite. Burled wood floors, black leather benches, and the patina of a copper bar provide a relaxing and elegant setting for award-winning modern cuisine, simply prepared and stylishly presented, using the freshest local and regional produce in season, with a focus on artisan-crafted Virginia wines, cheeses, and micro-brewed beers. The area’s most discriminating clientele dine in an exclusive private library and digital theater with a backstage look into the kitchen, by appointment or invitation only, where daily 7-course bespoke tasting menus are offered graciously by hometown Chef/Owner Phillip Craig Thomason.

Went for dinner with my wife and another couple. After being seated the waitress asked if we would like drinks. I asked about what kind of beer they had and she replied " a brown ale, a red ale, and a blonde ale." So far so good. I then asked what the brown ale was, assuming there was a brand... More

The Vintage Kitchen ALWAYS delivers! My family and I visit this restaurant often (although in my opinion not often enough) and have always had an amazing meal with beautiful views and excellent service. Chef Phillip is a gem that us Norfolk foodies drop to our knees and thank our lucky stars we have in our area. His ability to shop... More

Above average menu: nice wine, creative menu, and the black and white mac and cheese that is worth the entire trip! The service was just so-so, which was disappointing considering the view and the price tag.

Great food, service and a view that is virtually second to none, the Vintage Kitchen is a great place for lunch or dinner in downtown Norfolk. Sandwiches are freshly prepared and delicious and the service is spot on. Highly recommend visiting this gem when you are in the city.

I went to Vintage Kitchen for lunch and my experience was ok. Overall, the food was excellent but service was poor. At the time I was seated, I was only the second table, but for some reason it took a really long time to get my drink (coffee) and my food. I ordered the pumpkin soup and and the crab... More

My wife and I just moved into the area and Vintage Kitchen was one of the first restaurants we visited. We were greeted by the owner/chef, Philip Thomason. He was very welcoming as we walked in from the rain. A few reservations had cancelled and so he offered up Table 17. Table 17 is an excellent table for a date... More

Just got back from another fantastic meal at Vintage Kitchen. My wife and I simply love this restaurant, and it never disappoints. Our favorite thing about Vintage Kitchen is how much they source locally in Hampton Roads and throughout the commonwealth. A lot of their produce comes from Five Points in Norfolk, and despite being on the first floor of... More

Restaurant is in in an uninspiring location in a large office building but has great views over the river and a good choice of dishes all made from local produce. However, staff could be more friendly.

Vintage tries to use products from Virginia and NC. I'm a big fan of shops/restaurants that shrug off the big food industries in order to do more than just provide a meal. It was an overall good experience. We hit a few snags along the way, but I don't feel they were significant. The meal: -Cheese plate: Beautifully presented goat... More
