Great Brunch, Slow Service

I ordered the French Toast and a Bellini. My friends ordered the Eggs Benedict and BLT. We all enjoyed our dishes. The frites that were served with the Eggs Benedict were delicious! I would return just for the frites. I rated Green Onion as "Very Good" instead of "Excellent" because the service was... read more

We ate here during the "between meals" timeframe around 4:30PM on a Friday. We were seated promptly and the server was very friendly and able to answer all questions. Overall, service was a little slow given how empty the restaurant was. The food was very good, but the portions were rather small and a little pricey (there's better value on... More

Really awesome tomato bisque with an awesome "bread" cheese. Nice wine selections. Service was friendly and timely without being pushy.

I happened upon this place on accident several years ago and I still love it. Small and quaint. Service is amazing. But that Lobster Roll!! Oh my goodness....With the fresh cut french fries....They make their own ketchup! Who does that? It's not a set price. It's by the market price. I don't care...I still buy it every time I go... We have heard rave reviews about this place. The place is small and very dark and very loud. Service was very slow. The food was very, very, good. But... I had the Lobster Roll and it came with a small serving of melted butter. I asked for more and she came back about 5 - 8 minutes later and brought... More

Very nice place with great people. Menu is various and so different like other same restaurant. The waitress was pleasant and friendly.

First, the better part of our review. The food was very good; my wife and I shared the mussels as an appetizer which were delicious. Sweet, tasty, and the wine and onion broth was very good. Our main courses were likewise good; for me the duck main course which was excellent and for my wife the gnocchi pasta which she... More

Four of us chose this restaurant because No Frill Bar and Grill next door was packed. The menu looked so promising, with lots of gourmet overtones, but nothing was very satisfying. Very skimpy appetizers at $12 and entree portions were also very sparse -- Grildled Halloumi appetizer was a joke. My fillet mignon at $32 was properly cooked, but not... More

We have visited Green Onion many times over the years-- frequently for mussels. On a recent visit the mussels were just average-- a little smelly but most were OK. The service was good. The restaurant suffers in the winter from being rather cold-- lots of glass on two sides.

Service was very friendly, and there was a reasonable drink selection including wines, beer and mixed drinks. We were there for a late lunch, and the menu was a bit limited, but included some tasty options. I ordered the portobello burger, and split an arugula and brie salad with my daughter, and both were very good.
