Its not the prettiest restaurant you will go to, but don't let that deter you. The food is crazy good. We shared meals, we had the tomato bisque, rich, creamy fresh, we fought over their delicious croutons, which, by the way, if you order this ask for extra croutons. The muscles were delicious, the broth was worth drinking up or... More

the wife and i went here for a saturday brunch on our anniversary weekend. we walked down colley and looked at a couple other restaurants but decided to go for the slightly pricier option because the atmosphere looked a bit more 'anniversary weekend' speed. the service was excellent and the food was fantastic. I had the shrimp and grits and... More

Good menu selection with a lot of local flair. Excellent service and fresh variety of dishes. Comfortable, casual dining set-up. Great space to meet up with friends. On a hot day, settle down with a pitcher of Pomegranate Sangria. Seafood chowder is an excellent starter (to share) or well enjoyed on its own. The Lobster Roll is worth ordering, a... More

Just tried this place and it was AWESOME!!! The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was nice! A little too much dressing on my salad, but other than that no complaints!

The Ghent neighborhood in Norfolk, VA has lots of nice restaurants but this is one of my favorites. Try the lobster roll (available on their lunch menu) & sit outside & enjoy the day.

Green Onion is one of our favorite restaurants in Norfolk's Ghent area. The service is great, food is amazing. If you like mussels, you must try to go on Wednesdays. It's all you can eat mussels, fries, bread, and one glass of wine for a flat price. Enjoy!

This is among my favorite restaurants in all of Hampton Roads (Coastal Virginia, Tidewater, etc.) Food and service are always excellent. It is a "go to" place when we have guest from out of town. They also have frequent "Wine Tasting Meals" where by reservation you have a multi course meal matched to the wines being presented.

Colley Avenue is always a good place to visit if you're new to Norfolk. The Green Onion has a wonderful menu and the food is always prepared well. They also have a bar area where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine. It can get busy, especially in the Summer but if you plan your visit a little... More

Let me say first that the food was delicious and our server was very helpful. We also enjoyed sitting on a comfy couch while we ate. I had the seafood chowder with a side of risotto, my mom had the roasted pork chop, and my brother had the filet mignon, all of which were very well presented and seasoned. Unfortunately,... More
