On my way to Virginia Beach and pulled into this strip mall to fix the gps and rental car steering wheel. I noticed Franco's Italian Restaurant and, because I'd been craving pizza for a while, I went in. Ambiance is nothing special, which is to say just meh, neither good or bad. I was greeted warmly and seated right away.... More

Our party of 3 made a quick stop for a business lunch and the staff was friendly and couldn't seem to do enough for us. If I'm back in the area for a day, this spot is on my list to stop again because the food was wonderful. I had the spaghetti and meatballs while my co-workers shared a pizza... More

Franco's has spectacular Italian food, and I should know I am Italian. I had spaghetti with meatballs and sausage. . Great sauce, just like I make. Firm, large meatballs perfectly cooking. Real Italian sausage done to a tee. Al dente spaghetti. A wonderful meal. My wife loves their linguini with garlic and oil. It was perfect. The restaurant is nicely... More

Stayed in the area, looking for a good place to dine, tas you entered your unsure if your to be seated or wait while everyone stares from the kitchen, without a word, a waitress casually tells you to sit wherever, while taking your order very unfriendly and no greeting watsoever , food was good, but, people seldom forget that being courteous... When you are feeling like Italian - this is a great place tucked away. We visit each time were in Norfolk. Small, family-operated, cozy, and delish. Read complaints from people on here regarding fries and sandwiches... Why in the world would you go to an Italian restaurant and order that anyway.. I've had seafood Italian dish both times and loved.

Went to Franco's for a going away arrived there at 11AM we were seated quickly and ordered our food. Two Cheese Steaks and a Cheese Steak Hogie with two orders of fries. We recieced our food which was a disappointment. I am not sure what they think a Cheese Steak is but it is not a little piece of meat... More

My dentist recommended Franco's for its cheese steaks and my wife took me there to celebrate Father's Day. We shared an order of their mozzarella salad (I equate that to Caprese), a cheese steak and veal parmesan sandwich. The ingredients were very sparse, the steak very chewy and the "extra" onions and peppers I requested were virtually non-existent. I recall... More

My husband and I go to Franco's at least twice a week and we have the best experience. We just happened to be there the night the gentleman (if you want to call him that) who wrote the above review about his pasta and meatballs was there. He was very rude to Donna when he complained about the pasta. Graciously,... More

Once upon a time this was THE place in Norfolk for high quality food, a good selection and good service WITH a smile. Unfortunately the original owner passed away several months ago and things are NOT the same. I ordered a pasta dish with meatballs and my wife ordered the flounder. The food was delivered in a flash! it was... More

On my return from Italy in September, I stopped in at Franco's near the Norfolk airport to get my lasagna fix. I had just tasted several lasagnas in Italy and Franco's lasagna was not only just as tasty, but half the price I paid in Italy. I like lasagna with lots of red sauce, cheeses, and great seasoning. Franco's has... More
