Agree with the review that called this a "hidden gem". Small neighborhood location. Make reservations. Food, drinks, service all outstanding. Staff knew menu, drinks and wine list inside and out. Nothing was run-of-the-mill here. We are from out of the area and would make this our go to spot any time we are in Norfolk. Don't miss it!

Champagne, escargot, small, dim lights, excellent food...what could be better for date night! They have a $30 Fixe Prix menu daily in addition too the regular menu. We got the Norwegian salmon and Flatiron steak. Both of us totally cleaned our plates- unusual for me. Hints: skip the oil & vinegar with bread, it is nothing special and heavy, the... More

Delicious food!! Nice atmosphere! And nice servers! The escargots and canard are wonderful. I eat here every time I am in town.

By coincidence, we were in Norfolk for our anniversary and looking for a nice quiet place to celebrate. All the great reviews convinced us to give Voila a try. Beautiful, intimate atmosophere where we could actually have a conversation. Only about a dozen tables. Excellent service. Outstanding food and wine list. The menu is not extensive, but it doesn't need... More

The food is superb, cooked with care & imagination, but what really makes Voila stand out is the wine list. The same care that goes into the preparation of the food obviously went into the selection of the wines - our server had encyclopedic knowledge, & an obvious love, of wine. A great little restaurant!

This is a small restaurant -- about a dozen tables and a bar. This is one of the things I like about Norfolk: lots of small, very good restaurants. I went here for a small (4 people) business dinner. Service was excellent, the noise level was acceptable for holding a conversation. Therestaurant is pleasantly furnished with bright colors. Menu is... More

Purple, mustard, and dark colors on the walls, modern artistic chandeliers. Almost too attentive servers dressed in black. Food was good but not great. Atmosphere would make this a good date/romantic destination, if you were so in lust that the food could be less than perfect.

We spent a weekend away at the Freemason B & B nearby and almost missed this fabulous restaurant that is almost next door. This is the best food and service I have had in a long time. The restaurant is small looks to seat around 35 people plus a few at the bar. They offer a 3 course for $30... More

We re-visited Voila this week and while the decor has been re-freshed, the food remains exceptional. It's french in concept but with local twists, possibly due to the owners Morroccan heritage. We ordered different fish courses ( by happenstance) and they were beautifully done, succulent and cooked just right. Wine list was good ( a little expensive perhaps but interesting)... More

We ate there Sat night (3-30) and the food was outstanding; I had the crab/rock fish cake, it was huge, and the best crab cake I have ever had. The chef turns out one great meal after another, the portions are always over sized. The service is great, ambiance terrrific, just a great place to have in the neighborhood! The... More
