Terrific Meal and Great Ambience

I went to Voila after reading other reviews and checking out the menu. I was pleased that there was a small parking lot, as I dislike venturing out alone in an unfamiliar area where parking is uncertain. My husband knows the Chef there and the Chef invited us out for my birthday dinner! Its a very small place, comfortable yet classy The food there is all made to order and comes out hot and fresh! We ordered an appetizer of Keftedes, which is greek meatballs made with lamb and served with tzataziki, tomatoes and olives. The Chef... More

We enjoyed the service and atmosphere as much as the food. Very artsy, very fresh, very tasty. If you like to imbibe, they have a very interesting and eclectic drink menu. Not your run of the mill drinks.

Restaurant week in Norfolk took us to Voila. Our meal was perfect and the service excellent. It is a tiny place, 10 or 11 tables so I recommend reservations. My husband had escargot as an appetizer and said they were some of the best he has had. I had the butternut soup and it was very good. Our entrees were... More

Was given gift certificate, with rave reviews. Went on a Saturday night. Tried the three course for $30. Waiter said French onion soup was best he had ever had, my husband said it was okay, just like Applebee's. We both had the flat iron steak with French fries, expecting a gourmet flair to French fries. Instead they were normal fast... More

Stopped by for dinner with family after an afternoon in Norfolk. Excellent ambiance, decor and very professional staff with prompt, polite & friendly service. 4 of us selected from the $30/plate fixed menu with varying selections of appetizers, entrees and desserts. Wonderful arugula salad with walnuts, light chunks of Roquefort and very light balsamic vinaigrette for my appetizer/salad followed by... More

We generally visit the same Restaurants when we are in the area, but as a result of Restaurant week found this place. We have visited twice and have found it to be good both times. Decent priced wine menu with a good variety. They have a 3 course menu at a set price which includes a starter, entrée and dessert... More

Well located in the historic Freemason district, with ample parking, Voila is convenient, worth a modest detour from anywhere in Norfolk. Friendly wait-staff without being intrusive complements the somewhat ideosynchratic menu, with the chef's creative take on classic French dishes. We've been here several times and always ate well; the last time with the benefit of a half-price wine special.... More

My wife and I visited Voila for a fun night out. I would say the food and service were good, but I felt the experience was slightly overpriced. I wouldn't say we were disappointed, but when compared to other options in Norfolk, Voila is average.
