Mediterranean food is not typically on my menu, but I wanted to try new things while on vacation. I was hesitant, but I shouldn't have been. The atmosphere of the little restaurant was amazing and calming. The food had perfect spices and the most hospitable cashier, who suggested our meals and hooked up with some coupons! Must try at least... More

There is nothing wrong with the restaurant or the staff...in fact it was quite clean, with helpful folks. However, do note, that if you are looking for authentic Mediterranean food, this is not your restaurant. I ordered a schwarma and got what looked like a Taco Bell grilled stuffed burrito. Not bad, but it sure wasn't a schwarma.

Stopped by Azars Cafe for lunch with a friend to catch up on old times. Picked this location due to a promotion offered thru the city trash recycling program. Very well worth the effort to print off the coupon. The cafe was very clean and inviting. I ordered the Gyros sandwich and my friend ordered the hamburger with a spinach... More

Great Turkish food! They serve mostvof their food with hummus and naan which I like both of them a lot. There is a mini mkt inside the restaurant which has great jams and fresh olives.

Our family recently had lunch at Azar's. The restaurant serves pretty standard Middle Eastern fare - not outstanding, but quite OK for lunch. However, we probably won't be back. First: There's nothing on the restaurant's website informing potential customers that until 5 p.m. it's self-service all round. Had we known this we would have opted for another restaurant, as we... I grew up eating Azar's food. I started my love at the VA Beach location and the Ghent location is just as good. I am happy that they maintained great service. The falafel is delicious!. Also, they have the best dolmades and I have eaten a lot of different ones. Definitely consider this place!

Great service! Outstanding, really! Our waitress went above and beyond and made us feel very welcome, which is very important your first visit. The atmosphere is great. Whoever designed the interior of the building knew what they were doing. A touch of Greece opening up space and giving the eye something very pleasant to see if they can move away... More

This is a good place to go if you are in the mood for Greek food and you want a simple, quick bite to eat.
