We ate here as a party of 8 and everybody really raved about their meals. The service was very good as well. There are plenty of options on the menu to satisfy everybody. I would eat here again.

I met a colleague here for lunch on an unseasonably comfortable July day and it was just great. We sat outside to enjoy the weather and the vibrancy of Granby street. As if the weather and setting weren't good enough the food turned out to be excellent. I had the chicken fajitas tacos. They were served with gallo pinto which... More

Took the family there and really expected better based on the reviews and recommendation from the hotel. The crab cakes and salmon were excellent but the ribeye steaks - we had three at the table - were average at best. Our waiter Charles was really great and we had a few laughs with him which was fun.

Thanks for your review, I'm very sorry you didnt enjoy our Prime Rib Night . Of course that was our special on Tuesday 14oz for 16.99 with 2 sides . We sold 18 that night and no one else complained . Very possibly yours were not cooked to your specifications, and for that I do apologize. I wish you would... More

I had the Sunday brunch with a family member. Parking is pretty easy if you use Boush street garage (pay) or find a metered on street space (no charge on Sunday). Our booth was comfortable with a view of pretty flower-filled planters. Server was prompt with drink and food orders. I did not like my quiche, so the manager came... More

Was in Norfolk for a conference and picked 219, An American Bistro for dinner went back again for lunch the next day. Out of our group for dinner - only 1 person in our group ordered the Restaurant Week meal, the rest of us ordered off the menu as we were not that hungry. Highlights - She-crab bisque was amazing... Delightful and reasonably priced bottle of French sparkling wine. Delicious appetizer and dessert. My only complaint is that when we asked for more bread to finish up the spinach dip, they brought us some hard-as-rocks crostini instead of more of the melt-in-your-mouth baguette slices that came with the dip. I really did not understand the substitution. I would have paid... More

Meg, I'm glad you enjoyed everything but I'm very disappointed that you didnt receive the proper amount of bagguette to finish the spinach dip. I will look into this and correct the situation. Thanks for your review and we hope to see you again soon. More

Our party of 3 all began dinner with the she-crab soup. It was wonderful --- filled with crab in a simply seasoned cream base. I believe that fish soups should be seasoned gently to allow the seafood to be the star of the show and the chef here has mastered that subtlety. Each of us ordered something separate for our... Stopped by before walking down to Harborfest. The bartender and the guest next to me both recommended the flounder which ended up being a great choice.

We went for their Tuesday night prime rib last night. Very average. Reminiscent of Long Horn Steakhouse in Ohio. The cut was thin, not really tender, not tasty. The gravy was injected with extreme salt. Green beans were excellent as was the tiramisu. The tiramisu was actually top notch, come to think of it.

Thanks for your review even though it wasn't as gracious as we would have liked. Something must have happened to your piece , since we received raved reviews that night . The Trip Advisor review right before yours really liked, especially the price of $16.99 . Normally this would sell for $23.99 but it is our Tuesday Night Special. I'm... More

I visit Norfolk for business on a quarterly basis and have finally found a place where great service meets great food. I ordered the Tuesday special which was prime rib. Wow. Great flavor and the sides were great. My server Peter was great and I will return in the fall on my next trip.
