For about 5 years we have stopped at Chocolage for a quick lunch of sandwiches and a dessert when working in downtown Norfolk. Their sandwiches are made to order and quite tasty; my favorite is the chicken salad on wheat toast. Mrs. Marshall, the owner, bakes all of the desserts, and you can't skip dessert at this place. We drove all over Portsmouth and Suffolk trying to find a nice bakery to no avail...all the ones with good reputations were (sadly!) shut down...and there was NO WAY I was going to have my birthday cake come from a supermarket!! Thanks to TripAdvisor, we found Chocollage and WOW was it worth the trip!!!!!! The praline chocolate cake is out... more
Its a quaint bakery/coffee shop with prices that are well within reason, which you wouldn't expect if you have ever seen a pastry shop in new york or philadelphia. It seats about 15 people, but people are always stopping in to pick up orders. Ambience is perfect, the owner feels grandmotheresque, and the tables and sofas make for a great... more
I have bought several cakes from them and all were great. I through a little get together and had one of there cakes for dessert and it was gone in 15 minutes. Everyone loved it. I would recommend them without hesitation, doesn't get any better. more

I LOVED- Absolutely LOVED Chocollage!!!! I had a little trouble finding the place because of construction in the downtown area but the staff and owner were very helpful. I just had to try the famous praline chocolate cake- i heard about it here at trip advisor. I am SOOOOOOOOO glad i did!!! It was wonderful. I had to stop myself... more
