Lunch to go; not really. Only in a flash!

I called ahead my order so it was ready when I arrived. My server was very attentive. Pleased with my soup and salad. Expecially the tortilla soup on a cold winter day. Peculiarly the ranch dressing had a hint of vinegar and I don't recall that in the past. They have one of my favorite ranch... read more

My daughter and I had lunch here on a weekday just before New Years. Our waitress seemed to lack any experience whatsoever. My salad and her burger were served with no utensils, which then took ~3 minutes for our waitress to provide. The mushroom topping was left off the burger causing a further wait before my daughter could eat (so... More

We were going to see a play at the Attucks Theatre and the restaurant is located in the MacArthur Mall right across the street. A group of us wanted to grab a bite before-hand. The food is okay. I had the salmon dish and it was tender and juicy. The service is average. We didn't have to wait, even for... More

Staying in the Marriott and needed to find a dinner place. The restaurants closest to the hotel had 1.5 hour waiting time and there aren't that many. We walked to McArthur Center fully expecting to eat fast food when we found Max and Ermas. We were pleasantly surprised to find such a nice place. The service was fast and excellet... More

Was in town for a large conference, and we settled on this restaurant for dinner. We had a larger party of about 14. Had to wait an extended amount of time past their estimate for a table and had to keep checking with them about it. We finally got seated and had to wait forever to order drinks, and even... More

Long wait for a table even though several tables unused. Looked to be understaffed. The burgers were very tasty but the service was lacking had to ask several time for items. If you go on Wednesday it is free cookie night the cookies are great. Will try again and give them a second change.

Arrived in Norfolk and started a search for nearby restaurants and thought this place sounded nice. It had American food in a kitschy styled atmosphere and had pretty good reviews. We checked out the menu online and decided to give it a try. We were sorely disappointed. First, this location is in the Doubletree and the menu is very limited.... More

Garbage Burger and Tortilla Soup were very good and spicy. That was one of the biggest burgers I have ever had!

I'm a huge fan of their tortilla soup and took advantage of this site near my hotel during a recent business trip to Norfolk. I ordered my favorite tortilla soup/cheeseburger/cookie combo and was not disappointed. We no longer have this restaurant in the Chicago area and I take every opportunity in my business and personal travels to eat there when... More

YUM! What else is there to say! Love this place. Great food. Fresh baked warm cookies available for desert. Close to The Tide train and McArthur Center. Several items have a smaller portion available (Erma sized) Decent selection of appetizers. "Guilt free and Gluten free" sections on the menu.
