My co-workers and I visited the Belmont last night and right away we were greeted by a young waitress who took our drink orders and brought us menus. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she was patient and polite with our entire table while we all asked questions (there were 10 of us). The food was decent. Our... More

I loved the burnt ends!!! The ribs were a little tough and dry though. The Mac and cheese with pork was amazing. I also loved the collard greens. I enjoyed myself downstairs but when I moved upstairs, I was disenchanted with the atmosphere. I really didn't like the drunk navy guy scene.

I want to love this place- I like the atmosphere- the service and the entire concept of smokers outside...drawing me in like a magnet.... I like so many things about this place, but the food needs some serious attention, and isn't THAT the entire point of a restaurant? So- here's my story...a friend and I were tooling around Norfolk, and... More

Located in the Historic Ghent neighborhood, the atmosphere is pleasant and peopled by young urban professions. The barbecue and seafood entrees were well prepared with sizable portions and a medium price point.Live music weekends and a large number of micro brews, makes this a must try if you are in the Norfolk-Virginia Beach area. It was very quiet when we went, so the service was fine. BBQ was very good. Burnt ends and ribs were excellent. Will be back.

Went to this restaurant one Saturday after the ODU football game, the hostess was extremely pleasant the restaurant is small with two levels. I had ordered the onion rings with my meal and I had to send them back because they were cold. My brother in law ordered salad and it was a rather small portion. The others in our... More

A low-key, quasi sports bar restaurant that was great for dinner. The buffalo chicken appetizer with pita chips was really good. Placing a napkin underneath the homemade onion rings would have made them more appealing, but they tasted great. The potato salad was so-so and the tater tots were cold. Fortunately the pulled-pork and sliced brisket sandwiches were really, really... More

Stopped by here after work back in February. Got the rib basket and bleu bites, which were good. Still one of my go-to places on a Wed. night.

Went for Sunday Brunch. Ate outside on the terrace. Nice day . View overlooks parking lot. Food was very good. Smokehouse Benny (Eggs Benedict) and a slab of ribs. Excellent sauces, especially the house sauce. Service was average.
