Wanted to try something new and found this tapas restaurant near downtown Norfolk. We were very happy that we did, the food, drinks, and service were fantastic. We ordered duck tacos, duck lumpia, warm spiced thai crab dip, beef short rib lettuce wraps, and the bacon wrapped beef skewers! Everything tasted delicious...for dessert we tried the flourless chocolate brownie which... More

We went for a business happy hour, but they don't actually have a "happy hour." The cocktail and wine list is extensive. The cocktails were inventive, beautiful and delicious. We ordered a few appetizers to share, but they were quite small. We had the crab dip, which was spicy and flavorful. The calamari were perfectly cooked and delicious! The fondue... More

I loved this place. The food is essentially Asian inspired tapas, but everything has its own "twist" and creativity. If you like good food and unusual dishes which you cannot get at home - no matter where you are from - this is a really good place. It is inexpensive, has a great selection of beer and wine. The servers... More

The menu is a trip. You work your way thru "levels" or courses, and the food is inventive and fun. Be sure to consult with your companions to enjoy the ultimate sharing experience. Leave room for dessert, too. I so enjoyed this experience!

Walked in about 7:30pm Tuesday w/o a res and was immediately seated. Ordered hot sake and was told they only had cold sake. Shades of "Five Easy Pieces". Appetizers were well presented. Fish was fresh. Service was very good. Dessert excellent.

This place tries so hard to be hip! Would you like some Yin bread and yang oil? Or perhaps soup of the moment? It would be better if they invested some of that effort into the quality of their food. The one good dish we had was the eggplant fries. We also had the crab-stuffed tempura avocado. YUCK! The crab... More

Hands down, one of my favorite restaurants. Small, intimate seating. Tapas plates and extensive menu. Wine selection is good and drink menu is varied. Be sure to go with friends, be open to trying different items, and share. That is the best way to experience this place. Be sure to sit at the kitchen bar if you are a foodie.... More

We found this place when we were looking for a late-night spot after missing our dinner reservation for our anniversary dinner. And boy am I glad we found it! We didn't get there until after 11pm after the "snag" we had. When we got in, we were the only one who requested to sit at a table while everyone else... More

I should have written this review a long time ago so I'm making up for it now. I have enjoyed Bardo every time I've been there, both lunch and dinner. I've been for lunch and a girl's night out just in the past few weeks and both times, the food and service have been great. One thing I like about... More
