Travelers must try!

Really enjoyed our experience at the Freemason Abbey. Service was excellent. Our server, Sasha, was very personable and knowledgable of the menu and he history. Our food was served surprisingly quickly. My husband raved about his she-crab soup, and my daughter was equally impressed with her... read more

This place was excellent. I arrived just after 11am when they opened. Was seated at a booth(always like that when I am on my own) . Maurice was my waiter and very friendly, but did not know the menu too well as he was very new to the job. I always ask if a waiter/waitress has a favourite dish. He... More

This restaurant has been a fixture in Norfolk for many years. They serve a lot of food, but it is average. For the price, there are better places to eat, but it's by no means bad. The food is good, but average.

Here's the 1,2,3s... 1. COOL old church converted into a restaurant. Nice bar area too that is separate from the main restaurant. 2. Had a really great pan fried fresh flounder dish for $11! Amazing lunch special, even though the draft beer was $6. My date had a nice French style turkey sandwich with awesome fries. We really enjoyed our... More

The building is so neat and got to sit upstairs and enjoy the tall windows! Got their strawberry lemonade concoction which had strawberry infused bourbon! We got their half/half option of soup/salad or half sandwich mix... Sandwiches and cream of crab soup were delish! Oh and their fried green tomatoes as an app were a great starter!

Despite Rush Limbaugh's paid endorsement of this place, I found it to be somewhat lacking. I expected high-end quality and ambiance, but what I discovered was on overcrowded and rushed feel. I mean they really jam you in! Also the food prices are too high for the quality you receive here. I would have expected much more from a place... More

We found this restaurant using TripAdvisor reviews. Location is close to USS Wisconsin, museums and other Norfolk attractions. Easy to find, cause building looks like Abbey. We had lunch there. It was medium busy. Food is good. Price is good. Staff is nice. Second floor is a cool feature, but only if you are without kids!

My 89-year-old father loves this place. It is good food and a great atmosphere. The rest of the family likes it but does not love it. Food is fine, but not fabulous. The price is reasonable, the wait staff fine but not exceptional. In general is is a good place to go without breaking the budget for a dinner out.... More

Happy hour is really good with specials on appetizers. Drinks were good. Strong. The atmosphere was cozy and warm. I have eaten here on other occasions, very nice .
