We ate at No Frills Grill last night in Norfolk. Our second venture here, and overall it was good. Our server Jason was attentive enough, and did not hover over us...which might be more because of the busyness of the night. The food was good and the price was excellent. ( special evening menu) I had a good strip steak,... More

After reading the reviews of the No Frill Bar and Grill we decided it would be a good place to take my parents for lunch. We were not disappointed! The tuna salad was fresh made and delicious, the Philly Cheese Steak was very good as was the burger and club sandwich. One of us upgraded to the side salad and... More

My wife and I joined 14 of our friends for Sunday brunch a couple of weeks ago. Our server Jason was outstanding. We were a large crowd that enjoyed the $3.00 Bloody Mary's and Mimosas. He kept everyone's drink full and delivered the meals fast and piping hot. I had the home made corn beef hash special with poached eggs,... More

This is how non-Americans imagine Americans routinely eat. Huge portions, heavy on the meat, cheese, and fried vegetables and fish. The desserts, which we were too full to try, looked similarly over the top. But they were all good quality ingredients -- beneath the batter, for example, the shrimps were delicious, beneath the BBQ sauce the beef brisket practically melted.... More

The food is great and you get plenty of food for your money. Service was prompt and courteous. Food came pretty quick even though they were very busy.

We have been going to No Frill in the Ghent area of Norfolk at least once a month for more than 5 years and have always, without exception, gotten a terrific meal and great service. Favorite meals include the Funky Chicken salad, the Funky Chicken sandwich, the meatloaf, the Spotswood Melt and last but not least - the fried shrimp... More

This is a basic restaurant with a varied menu. It's great for lunch or dinner! They will take a "phone ahead" reservation so the wait is less at busy times. Funky chicken salad is huge and delicious. French dip sandwich is variable - sometimes delicious and other times very tough and chewy.

This is a place I visit frequently for work lunches, date night dinners, and dinners with my family of 6. There are lots of options for foodies and picky eaters alike, including sandwiches, burgers, steak, chicken, pasta, meatloaf, salads, gyros, shrimp, crab cakes, pierogies and more! Portions are slightly above average, giving you added value for the cost of your... More
