The food portions were smaller than we thought, but the food was tasty. The music was a bit loud sadly. The tables were covered with brown paper rather than a table cloth. A different way to dine.

My wife and I stopped for a few courses of tapas before seeing a touring broadway show at Chrysler Hall. My wife must eat gluten-free, and, since the menu changes frequently, the chef made a gluten-free menu on the spot for us. Everything we had was fabulous (steak, brie, duck, tuna, edamame). We will definitely be back.

A very nice experience with a warm and friendly staff. The waiter even warned us off a dish that we wanted to order. Try the Herb goat cheese stuffed romas, Pork & ginger potstickers, Spicy tuna sashimi (very yummy), and Watermelon & prosciutto lollipops. Parking isn't that bad as there is a garage a block or so away.

We dining here as a family outing while in Norfolk. We enjoyed our meal, although it was pricey (as expected for a la-carte tapas dining). The menu seemed a little short compared to other tapas places that I've visited. I would have preferred to see a few more "traditional" tapas items, such as a Serrano ham and cheese. Service was... Lovely little restaurant and excellent food. Great variety and portions. Great wait staff. Highly recommend. We visit at least once a mont - we are locals. Parking is a little tough - some street parking but there are garages. Be careful of taxi parking - they will tow.

We were in Norfolk unexpectedly and picked this place based on recommendations. It was nearly empty on a weeknight and service was slow and not very friendly. The food is good, but nothing spectacular. Some dishes were virtually tasteless (polenta cakes, crab rolled in zucchini with tomato sauce) others good but not very aggressively spiced (shrimp with garlic). I don't... More

This is a modern day, American pub for tapas... I went last night, and the food was excellent. Beer selection is tremendous. People were nice, and the ambiance is really good. A bit pricy for the food, but it was excellent food!

From my time living there to coming back and vacationing, I always make a stop at Empire! Drinks are always spot on as is the food. Trendy, fun, energetic.

My wife and I had dinner here the other evening. It was an absolute pleasure! Fantastic food that was perfectly prepared and a server who could not have been better. For appetizers my wife had a lobster salad while I enjoyed a delicious curry chicken salad with pears and baguettes. We shared an order of pot stickers and a fillet... More

My husband and I stopped here after a concert and were looking for some late night food. We loved being able to sample several plates for our meal. Each plate was not a disappointment. We had everything from a goat cheese, roasted garlic and peppers, and olive tapenade spread to clams to tuna sashimi to boursin and artichoke mac &... More
