Doumar's is definitely a legend in Norfolk. Exceptional Barbeque, assorted flavor milk shakes, fresh limeade and of course the homemade waffle cones. Most cities have one or two restaurants that have stood the test of time, offering good value and unique flavors. It may not be to everyone's taste, but I enjoyed the little bit of Norfolk I sampled, and would go back next time I'm in the area. more

After hearing people wax poetic during our 7 years living in Hampton Roads, we finally decided to try Doumar's. We were deeply disappointed. The location/atmosphere has potential...I can see the nostalgic angle...BUT the food was just terrible. And we are not gourmands...but have had our fair share of BBQ. Despite the cool drive-up-service, we will not return. BLECH. more

i go here for mother and doughter time. i'm always working but when i do find time i take my mini-me and we just have fun. very good service and food. love the price. more
