We visited Todd Jurich’s Bistro with high expectations and hungry. The location has valet parking in front of the restaurant for a fee ($5) not including the tip. There is a city garage around the corner if you choose to use it. The restaurant is pleasing to the eye and spacious but not contemporary. We asked for a booth and... More

Todd Jurich serves some of the best new southern cuisine in this area. His culinary expertise, particularly with local crab, rockfish and oysters, is some of the best I have ever witnessed. Meats are also well presented with unique sauces, herbs and interpretations. The restaurant has a very good wine list, full bar, and table service is normally excellent. Gordon,... More

They were running one hour behind for a reservation we made weeks in advance. No apology or acknowledgement of this. Food was excellent but service will keep me from returning.

I am not a cook at all, but I know if I was told by a guest that their meat was too rare I would be able to make it right. This is not difficult. What is surprising is that a supposed chef with training can't satisfy a guest the first time and the guest must sit with no food... More

Restaurant week in Norfolk gave us a good reason to visit again and get a three course meal at a very reasonable price. We have been here before and were always delighted with the food and service. I had the pumpkin soup with sweet blue crab while my husband had the roasted oysters similar to Oysters Rockefeller. Both were very... More

A group of five foodies went there for dinner on Saturday night as none of us had been in awhile and wanted a dining experience. All ordered appetizers - none of which were anything special. Dinners arrived after a long wait after appetizers and were really disappointing. Risotto special of lobster and scallops arrived with lobster meat that had been... More

Dinner was delicious and we took the chef's wine suggestion which was spot on. The service was that perfect balance of attentive without being overbearing. The scallops and risotto were cooked perfectly. The menu was inviting and interesting. I was invited to tour the kitchen and I was impressed. It was very clean, beautiful and I was so happy to... Three of us had dinner Saturday night, and it was, as always, fantastic. We started with the Oysters on the half shell and a salad, and of course drinks, our waiter was "spot on". We had the "Crispy Duck" and the Lamb Tagine, both prepared perfectly and went down quickly. Everything on the menu looked inviting, I highly recommend this... More

Our party of 15 enjoyed a great meal here. We reserved a private area away from everyone else. Food was excellent. You need to try the pumpkin and crab soup. WOW! Also the sea scallops were wonderful. There was a wide range of meal choices and everyone in our group got their meal prepared as requested. Also a wide range... More
