D'EGG provides a perfect place for a small (4) meeting/discussion place over breakfast. The menu is perfect, flexible and reasonable. Love their poached eggs

You will not find better mac n cheese or meatloaf ANYWHERE!!! The food is the best Southern cooking you’ll ever have. The menu will not disappoint you. The atmosphere is very much a family diner experience which adds to its charm. The owner is and accessible to all of his customers. You’re guaranteed to make a friend while you’re dining.

Great menu with the basics like meatloaf, stews, mashed potatoes, and salads. Hearty servings. Come early or late for lunch because it's a local favorite.

We ended up here after looking for another spot that was closed. It was recommended by a local and it satisfied the entire group. I needed kid friendly and it was. A breakfast and lunch spot that offered good sized portions and good food for the price. Kids burger was big! Fries were good. I never eat fries. Burger looked... More

This is a solid delicious breakfast with good service. it's right across the street from the Marriott and if it's cold or windy and you walk to the end of the Marriott convention center and use that last door. All you have to do is cross the street. The special potatoes are not to be missed. WHO puts Special K... More

I know, nobody says, "d'bomb" anymore, but hey, it's a catchy title, no? And it's true! There have been a couple of negative reviews lately, mainly regarding service but I was there 10 minutes ago and everything was terrific! Busy Sunday morning and construction barricades outside made for a little chaotic feel but the food and service were awesome. I'll... More

I saw decent reviews and wanted to try a different restaurant for breakfast. The service was adequate, the food was good, the atmosphere was so-so, parking wasn't too good. Not really what I expected . Thought it was going to be a trendy place with not just your typical breakfast. Home fries were the frozen type and the corned beef... More

What a nice surprise to find a great restaurant within walking distance of Nautical Museum . Food was yummy, service great, ice tea tasty. Will come back here for sure with back in Norfolk. Highly recommend stopping at the eatery.

Great food, excellent customer service and huge portions for what you order. Better than the breakfasts you would get in the nearby hotels. Will come back if I ever stay in the downtown area.
