I went with two friends for the drinks. I had the Coco Crush (see pic) and it was excellent. One friend had the strawberry lemonade and the other friend had the blueberry drink (both alcoholic) and they were happy with them. I am diabetic and the waitress was good about checking on some things before I ordered the drink. Their... More

I used to love Press 626 until last night. After buying wine, dinner, AND dessert, and then paying for everything, my 2 friends and I were told we had to leave because they needed the table. Mind you, this was only 5 minutes after signing our checks! We were gathering our things and wrapping up, not like we were there... More

The title says it all! On a short stay in Norfolk, a couple friends and I went here for dinner on a Saturday evening. When we walked in, it was busy, but we were able to be seated right away without a reservation. The dining area is very charming. The lighting is low, because the restaurant is an older house,... This tiny place is one of our "go-to" date night restaurants and one of the places we often take out of town visitors for brunch-- but do have a reservation and plan to make an evening of it (not always speedy) and for heaven's sake have a champagne cupcake if any there are any left!

On my own for a late lunch today, I found this cafe within an easy walk of the Page House B&B. I strolled past lovely old houses on tree-lined streets to find Press 626 at 626 W. Olney Road. The restaurant itself is in what looks like a stately Ghent neighborhood home. There are a few tables on the porch,... More

Visited for lunch after business at Sentara Norfolk General. My wife had the grilled cheese combo with fruit cup, and I had the monster steak sandwich with fries, both very good. Very pleasant decor, good service, and it couldn't be more convenient.

We were a large group of 7 got there around 8:30 pm. No tables available but we happily sat at the bar (plenty of room). Our bartender was great and helpful when choosing our meals. We ended up ordering multiple bottles of their $15 wine--it was great! Meals were great--only downside, our bartender raved about the duck and 2 people... More

This restaurant is in a converted house, with table seating and seating at the bar. Very popular, it can get crowded, but it is worth it. Even when the place is hopping the service is good. Give the truffle Mac and cheese a try... It is out of this world.
