"OUR Place"

I first encountered Press 626 in March 2014 dining solo. Since then I have shared the experience with my shipmates returning from deployment and to my new fiancé and me it is "Our Place". The food is amazing and fresh, changing seasonally. Very knowledgable staff and the wine tasting events are... read more

Had the pleasure of having lunch here with my daughter earlier this month. Had a delicious lunch combo of grilled cheese sandwich and asparagus soup (the soup of the day). My daughter had a different grilled cheese sandwich served with a mountain of delicious french fries. She rates it as her favorite restaurant in Norfolk; I can't wait to visit... More

During the past few months, we had 2 nice experiences at 626 but the last experience turned us off to the restaurant to the extent that we doubt we will return. The service was adequate. The food was tasty but not exceptional. When ordering, we asked the cost of the special (told $22 by the server) and let her know... More

I had a wonderful dinner with 14 colleagues in the private room. The service was EXCELLENT -- even got the separate checks without any hassle. I order the Fresh Catch of the day...and it was AMAZING! My plate was scrapped clean...it was that good! ** If you have a sweet tooth --> ORDER their famous CHAMPAGNE CUPCAKE...it is out of... More

Just moved to Norfolk and was in walking distance. Converted Victorian home which means they try to fit too many seats in a room. Ahi & scallop appetizers were good. Beer was warm and server offered to chill it. Unfortunately that didn't work. Entrée' was good, however side dish was luke-warm at best. If you enjoy appetizers & wine then... More

Press 626 is inviting from the start. Set in a historic Norfolk neighborhood in a historic home, you can't help but feel like you're visiting an old friend as you're walking up the steps. The entire staff is inviting, and our waitress made our first visit an incredible experience, as she was not only friendly, but also knowledgeable. We loved... More

This is a great place to meet up with some girlfriends or go on a date with someone who is also interested in wines. They have a great selection of wines and also have a great small plate menu. The food options are well thought out and offer a unique experience. The bar tender taking care of us was great... More

The food is fresh and tasty, the chef is creative, and the service is EXCELLENT. It can get busy on the weekends, so make sure to book reservations to avoid a wait (though the wait would likely be worth it).

Got there at 11;00 and already a crowd, and I can see why, the food and drinks were great. I had the poinsetta drink first and then the pumkin stuffed french toast with a cranberry compost on top, it came with roasted hash brown potatoes. We both enjoyed our meal and the waitress was wonderful.

We went on a Tuesday and everything seemed to be a "special". The bottle of wine was $15.00, a glass of wine was half price the only expensive drink was the single malt Scotch at $12.00! The small plates were buy one and get one for half price and then there was the burger special! Everything was well prepared and... More
