An excellent menu; every dish prepared with real thought and originality

Brisk and friendly service from an all-female crack team; an excellent menu with one of the best antipasto mixed starters we've ever come across (from bruschetta and mini bacon and eggs to barley salad and great cheeses) and a superb range of pasta and meat courses + excellent desserts. Slightly... read more

A lovely restaurant with a contemporary yet cosy feel. Really warm and friendly staff happy to help with the menu. Huge antipastiso be careful. Great veal and beef dishes. Have not felt so welcome in a place for a long while. Well done staff and owner.

The food was fantastic. Pasta was delicious, and the beef was seriously tender. But best of all was the homemade bread. Menu is in Italian only, but the Front of House was more than happy to translate every item on the menu. So, great food, great service, lovely atmosphere. What more could you ask for in a restaurant.

We eat at this restaurant every time we are in town (once of twice a year). Menu changes regularly - majority of the guests are locals and the chef caters to their tastes and needs for variety. Always fresh and homemade products (pasta, sauces). Menu is not large, but has everything one needs to enjoy the real taste of Italy.... More

Not that busy to start with but filled up quickly. Not a massive choice but adequate. Red onion soup which was very thick but tasted really good and their antipasti to start which was a little all over the place but on the whole good. Ravioli and another unknown pasta for mains which were both cooked well and seasoned correctly.... More

We've eaten here several times over the past five years and always had a successful evening. This latest visit was no exception. Situated in a quiet corner beneath the beautiful round bell tower of the Cathedral, L'Accademia feels authentic in its ambience and in its characterful yet unstuffy architecture/decor. Good food and especially friendly, attentive service really made our night.... More

More contemporary than other restaurants in town and very posh so dress well! Good menu and some slightly different dishes, good atmosphere and lovely venue, you can sit upstairs in a romantic mezzanine type area. Delicious food!

This is a rather quaint little restaurant tucked away in the back streets behind the Duoma in the City, we passed it a number of times and it always closed then we found it open and booked in. Seated in side it can get a little warm as they have no air conditioning, but they do open small windows to... More

Have visited Citta a number of times, and now know the place pretty well. On this trip we tried L Academia for the first time, and we really liked it. There are a few good restaurants in Citta, where you can get good food, but this is different. Here you get good food and a lovely atmosphere/decor, which is often... More

A great place to eat in Citta Di Castello. The food is excellent, imaginative and modern, but still very Tuscan. A few of the anti-pasti have been a bit too imaginative, but the majority lovely. The various steak options we've tried have all been amazing. The service has been great every time we've been (this was our 4th) and the... More
