Best meal we ate in Greve

In the peak of tourist season it was a treat to find a place on the piazza that was still making an effort. Martina was the best server we saw throughout our time in Italy. As a table of four this may have been the only meal where all dishes were good. The zucchini Flowers were excellent.

I had lunch here today. The starters were really well prepared and presented. I had the crostini misti and my husband had burrata, crudo and tartufo. All very nice. I then took ravioli with aubergines and tomatoes. ...really yummy. I also tasted my husband 's garganelli with sausage and tartufo...divine. The service was pretty efficient too.

I tried all in Greve, but Portico is really the best. A restaurant held by one beutiful family. So be sure that here you will get tasty meet, delicious fish, any kind of pasta or anything you prefer at very reasonable prices with a warm service.

Location is good, can't miss on the main square. Typical area menu offerings but nothing special. I would suggest la Terrazza across the square for a far superior meal. Menu items vary little across the area but la Terrazza' s execution far surpasses Il Portico's. (Go upstairs for the lovely dining room with a bird's eye view of the Piazza!)

We had a nice lunch at Ristorante Il Portico in Greve. The food was good, nothing special, but good. Service was satisfactory. Keep in mind that this is not fine dining but OK for a lunch.

I'm not one to write a negative review unless something is VERY low par. We are in Chianti 2-3 times a year and have dined at many places and this is the first time I felt that I needed to express that this place was extremely disappointing and the food was overtly - BAD. We loved the quaint look (typical)... More

We were here in april. A lot of tourists, no local people. But the food was ok, not special. A good price against the other restaurants. I will advise you the daily dishes. Inside a cosy place. Good vino de la casa.

We saw the Tripadvisor sticker on the entrance door and decided to try this restaurant. We had 2 mixed salad as starter and followed by tortellini of stone bass in langustines and crab sauce and pasta with sausages and black truffles. They are all very delicious. Staff are very friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to you.

Myself and my girlfriend had a lovely evening meal here. A good pointer is that all menus are also in English. The waitress on the evening was very knowledgable and willing to help with any translations if needed and a good eye for local wines to compliment the meals. The food was of a good standard and well presented. If... More

This unassuming little hole in the wall of a restaurant serves up some pretty impressive down home Italian cooking. I had a simple veal steak served with rosemary potatoes, my wife had the papardelle with chingale. Both dishes were perfectly prepared and very tasty when served with a very reasonably priced local Chianti Classico. The anti pasti plate we had... More
