Completely came upon this restaurant by chance and immediately wanted to move to Montefioralle to enjoy the daily specials everyday. Fantastic view, delicious fresh food and wonderful staff who explained the menu, so well that you wanted to sample everything! Would definitely recommend it!

Charming restaurant, we were lucky as they had one table available (make reservations if possible). We sat inside but the outdoor little terrace looks beautiful (it was lightly raining the day we visited). Food OUTSTANDING. Everything I ordered had shaved truffles... burratta w/ truffles & arugula to start (about 10Euro) then ravioli w/ truffles (about 10Euro), plus wine, dessert... my... More

Staying in the area, we used Tripadvisor to see which was the best rated restaurant around and La Castellana came up in our search. An excellent meal, great service in a lovely little village. Well worth exploring the little town and then settling in to a delicious meal here. Not cheap, but great quality.

We went to this restaurant because our hotel recommended it to us. La Castelland is located just outside of Montefioralle, a beautiful little village on the top of a hill up from Greve in Chianti (Montefioralle is a must see!). The food at this little family run restaurant is outstanding, definitely the best we had during our stay in Italy!... More

My husband and I happened upon this charming place, just following the knife and fork sign from the main road, as we were looking for a restaurant befitting the beautiful countryside in the Val di Chiana. It's a small, family run restaurant with just a few tables outside, all with a beautiful view of the valley and vineyards. The food... More

A family run small restaurant at the top of a mountain in Chianti. What isn't at the top of a mountain in Chianti? The food is outstanding. Go with the waitress's (daughter's) suggestions. The warm mozzarella with slivers of truffle and truffle oil, not on the menus, but just about the best an appetizer can be. Wild boar goes best... More

There were both locals and tourists the evening we had dinner. Very casual and authentic feeling. Only 10 tables inside and outdoor seating available too. We had the prosciutto with melon and artichoke appetizers followed by ravioli with very generous truffle shavings. Also very friendly service. We left very happy, good value too.

If they do not match, the restaurant may not be in the location indicated on the map. Looks like a problem in trip advisor (or somewhere along the line) resolving street addresses and GPS coordinates.

This is not just a restaurant. It is an experience! From the moment we walked in, we were thrilled about our choice. My partner had booked the restaurant following reviews on tripadvisor and boy...I'm so happy he did! This is one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at. The rustique Tuscan ambiance is exactly what we were looking... More

We ate lunch on Easter Monday, too cool to eat out on enticing terrace overlooking view but the inside was cozy. All the patrons were Italian and enjoyed their food with the same gusto as we. Everything was very fresh tasting. Highly recommended.
