I came here whilst working in Italy for 6 weeks and this has to be my favourite dining experience. The fiorentina was stunning, the hosts were fantastic and whilst the place did look a little bit odd on first arrival, what a wonderful place to enjoy the best steak in Florence.

A short and most worthwhile drive from the picturesque village of Greve in Chianti, this is a must. We have been visiting this area for a dozen years or more and our visits to Stefano and Patrizia at Il Borgo Antico are always a highlight. The address may have changed a couple of years ago, but the quality of the... More

Great wine, great food, great people. Not super cheap but certainly very good. Will be back! Wild boar pasta a highlight!

We visited twice while staying in Greve the first on a sunny day for lunch, the steak was great but the real treat was the panacotta and tiramisu were the bomb. Whilst all the meals were very nice the second visit saw Stefano and his wife with a full house and under a little more pressure.

During our recent trip we had two dinners at the Borgo Antico -- both times we enjoyed Stefano's hospitality and great local cuisine. Do not miss out on the Arista con fagiole or the excellent risotto with sweet gorgonzola.... Best part of course is to stay next door in villa Carla and just walk over!

Ended up at the place by luck during a holiday visit. Love the tiramisu and panacotta. Friendly staff. Must go.

This sweet older couple has been running this restaurant for years with the wife in the kitchen and the husband serving her wonderful home cooked meals. It is a relaxed family establishment with honest food which will fill you up and not leave your wallet empty. And after all the meals I've had in Italy I can honestly say that... More

We absolutely loved it. Three different dishes 'tris di pasta' (starter for minimum 2) shared among our group were delicious. Tagliatelle with tartufo (truffle) was fantastic! The owner was our waiter for the evening and although the place was very busy, he was extremely attentive making sure we were enjoying ourselves. We were rather loud laughing and joking but we... Simple ingredients, homemade food, great wine, perfect atmosphere. Good prices. My wife and I came here on the recommendation of the inn keepers where we were staying in Greve in Chianti. I had Risotto with Gorgonzola and Pear and my wife had the Spinach Ravioli with spicy red sauce. the meal was OFF THE HOOK!

We had a fantastic lunch, the owner was very helpful. The food was great and it was local produce which is fantastic to see it getting used in restaurants. The wines were great as well. I would go back for sure.
