We were there on the off season, so no problem getting in, but this is an extremely popular spot, so suggest reservations during the summer months. It's a large and cavernous location, somewhat cold and formal. Food was very fine, no complaints, but not sure what all the hype is about.

Visited restaurant on recommendation by our hotel staff. This restaurant simply ticks all the boxes in the excellent column. Location was central in the cute town of Greve in Chianti, just off the main piazza. Its cleanliness stood out with the interior very well maintained and the wcs having hygienic seats. Menu was varied with waiting staff who were polite.... More

Great find in the center of town, multi generational "hosts". you'll feel like you are at "Nona's" And you probably are, she often does slip out of the kitchen. Great food, great wine, who could ask for more?

Fantastic restaurant! I have been there 2 times in the last month and I will go back if I am back in Tuscany. Food is great, combining traditional and new style recipies and the quality of the food is really really good. As is a familiar owned restaurant, you get the best service; The son of the owner knows a... More

Another very pleasant evening. Pizza just as it should be - thin crispy base with lots of lovely topping. Staff friendly and efficient. Excellent crepes. We will be back on our next visit to Gibraltar.

Wet Tuesday night early September and we had just arrived from Australia.Warm and inviting inside, we were seated and taken through the Menu by one of the family. Although being skeptical having found Gallo Nero from trip advisor (having been disappointing previously) we can honestly say that this family run, cosy and central restaurant deserves its position in the top 3 in Greve. Regardless of it being low season, when most restaurants in the area close, the service (by Lucia, the owner, and her son) was professional but... More

My friends who live near Greve-in-Chianti only eat at this restaurant when in Greve, and now I know why. Delicate home-made pasta and ravioli "alla nonna" -- the actual nonna or grandma makes them! - and flavorful grilled beef and chicken.Even tagliatelle with boar ragu, sounds weird but rich and delicious. Calm, even elegant atmosphere with modest prices and personal... More
