We visited this beautiful restaurant with a group of friends for lunch. We had an antipasti selection together, and my primi was a pasta dish I'll never forget. There was some ham, raisins, pine nuts and red onion. It was absolutely perfect, and I will probably spend years trying to recreate the dish at home. :) After my week in... More

We had a very nice dinner here. The Tuscan "bread soup" is highly recommended. A few staff members spoke fluent English and the service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant was not overly crowded, so dinner felt rather romantic. We would recommend for a splurge and a more formal dining experience than other restaurants in Greve.

Romantic and relaxing but not pretentious. The cuisine is typical of the area but with some original combinations which make it more interesting. Excellent selection on Chianti.

The service and the atmosphere at the Gallo Nero was lovely, and the food was great. We had rabbit, pasta with boar sauce as well as chocolate and lemon pie (two separate pies, that is) and everything was delicious.

Used TA to find this restaurant in Greve. Very nice menu and good pricing. White table linens and nice variety of menu selection. My meal was good but not great. The appetizer of eggplant was bland but good with salt. The grilled vegetables were fine. The meat platter for 2 was good but not great. My wife enjoyed the truffle... More

We ate here during our stay in Greve during our honeymoon. The atmosphere was great, the food was good (the pasta is made fresh), and the house wine was fantastic (would be a fine bottle in the U.S.). The service was great, the waiter checked in on us often.

After visiting several restaurants in Greve, this is our favourite. Cosy place with excellent food, friendly staff and a very good red house wine.

The food here was so good that we ate here twice during our short 4 night stay in Greve in Chianti. The service was also very good. I ordered the truffle pasta which was out of this world! I've never had truffles so fresh. We also had the meat platter for 2 which was delicious and so filling that we... More

We stayed at Gallo Nero and had a lovely meal in Allesandro's restaurant. The food was fantastic, the service excellent and the chocolate desert made by Mamma was sublime. We were surprised that the cost was so reasonable too. We came to Greve in Chianti for our 40th Wedding anniversary and will remember it for a long time. Congratulations to... More
