First trip advisor review after having a delightful dinner here last night with my mom. The service was great- attentive, informative and friendly. Most importantly, the food was delicious. A bit pricey but worth it- we shared 4 dishes including dessert, all were really good and the portions were generous. The filet with roasted tomatoes, Parmesan sauce and charcoal bits... More

Gallo Nero was recommended to us by a local and we visited on both nights we were in Greve. Warm and friendly staff showed us to the table of our choice. We ordered drinks and the waitress brought our chosen bottle of wine to the table to open. She wasn't happy once she'd opened it so took it away and... More

The onion soup - grilled cipolini onions, pureed with olive oil - is one of the best I have ever had. The food is super - wonderful touches that tell me that the kitchen really cares about the food and the customer. This was one of our best meals in Tuscany. Our sommelier son says the wine list is excellent,... More

The food was very good, however it was fairly pricey compared to other restaurants we visited during our recent visit to Tuscany. The wife especially seemed over priced.

This is a really nice restaurant in a very cute town. We tried several soups and appetizers, all very good, especially the traditional Tuscan soup which seems like tomatoes and bread, and the beef cooked for hours in Chianti wine was wonderful. The service was good and the prices very reasonable.

We were renting a farmhouse on the outskirts of Greve and found ourselves walking past Gallo Nero on our numerous visits to the village. Through the windows, the decor appeared a bit too modern for our taste, but the menu posted outside was appealing so we decided to give it a try. We didn't regret it. The place is a... More

This restaurant was very professional and efficient. We had a good meal here very nicely presented. The Lamb off the grill was very tasty, most people were going for grills which did look nice (very rare), I had pumpkin ravioli which did not have much depth of taste. The deserts were nicely presented; semifredo and apple tart.
