We stayed in Greve in Chianti for a week and dined at Gallo Nero toward the end of our stay. We had a very nice dinner - a little pricier than other establishments, but worth it. The decor and ambience are more upscale than many of the other, more casual establishments in town. The house red wine, from a local... More

The service was OK until we told them we are disappointed with the food. After that the waiter was upset and hardly talked to us. (No compensation) The steak was chewy the coffe light and bitter but the prices are high. We would spend our money elsewhere we guess a falafel next door could have been better.

This review is a lot strange.. It is not clear... Who are you? You didn't have any name in your profile? When you come? What did you eat? We are restaurant specialized in meat... So, it is very easy to invent and write random. We don't remember any problem with meat... Anything...Always, if there is a problem with the meat... More

Nicely prepared, classic Chianti dining. Popped in for lunch, and was pleasantly surprised. Very tasty.

The restaurant was a beautiful place but the food was not. Served an entry which was smelling and tasting rotten. Had another entry, noodles with truffles which was better but not in any way like like it should be. Main course - My wife's steak was well done but we asked for medium. The bill was wrong - overcharging. The... More

Hello, we remember about your check problem. We resolved at the cash, I gave you back €20,00 instead € 18,00 and I gave for free a bottle of our olive oil . We signed two tagliolini with truffle instead one. We were very very busy and we didn't see the mistake. Then I gave many apologies for that. Everybody loves our... More

We were expecting a great meal but it turned out to be just OK. Prices did not reflect the quality. We had better meals at little local spots than we did here. Ordered 2 steaks medium rare. One was cooked perfectly, one was medium-well. Honestly the chocolate tarte was the highlight of the meal. Nothing to rave about...

A casual but elegant restaurant which serves authentic and very tasty Italian food. We loved the spaghetti with truffles and the ravioli stuffed with pomodoro and bread with the carbonara sauce was delish! Partnered with the Gabbiano chianti how can it get any better? Great service friendly staff and a relaxing evening.. it was definitely worthy of a tip even... More

This family run restaurant is just wonderful. The atmosphere is lovely and the dishes are fantastic, from the homemade pastas to the creative desserts. We started with 2 primo courses, pasta with porcini and ravioli with potato. They were both savory and beautifully presented. We followed with the bistecca Florentina, a huge, tender steak so well seasoned even salt was... More
