Good food and harbour view

Second visit to this restaurant in as many years. I have to say that the food is very good, typical Sicilian, tasty antipasti, really good pasta and very fresh fish. Not too keen on the decor though. I find it too kitschy and modern, somehow doesn't fit with the ambiance of the harbour of Sciacca... read more

We really enjoyed this little place. It was very quiet (we were here in early May) but the staff managed to be both attentive and give us space. Sicilian seafood done with style and a view of the harbour. Lovely wine recommendations. We stopped off on our way back from Agrigento to Trapani- a perfect halfway point and a lovely... More

We were visiting Sicily and found ourselves in Sciacca for three days. One evening, we took a walk out to the harbor from Hotel Melqart, and happened upon La Lampara. It was too early for dinner but they could see we were a bit tired and let us have a table upstairs and we ordered a bottle of wine just... More

The view looking over the Harbour is great. The quality of service is 5 star and the food excellent. It's a quality restaurant for all the right reasons.

Upon the recommendation of our hotel at the Verdura Resort we went to La Lampara. Boy what a disappointment. We had to track down or waiter for everything. The only good thing we had was the wine. They hook you in with the fish of the day display but the presentation was horrible. One in our party went for the... More

You have to wonder about the critical powers of tripadvisor users when the vast majority give excellent or very good. This is an example. We went on a weekday evening in June. It was almost empty---a bad sign. Agreed it is not easy to find and involved driving carefully along the quay through narrow arches but the locals should not... More

We arrived on spec and were given a free glass of champagne while we waited for a table. There was a really wide-ranging menu and most of us had fish. I had steak - perfectly cooked. You are right next to the harbour, so there is plenty to watch while you eat.

A first floor fish restaurant situated in the heart of the fishing harbour of Sciacca. A very average decor with a view that consists of fishing boats. Not fascinating in the evening when there's no movement. The food was OK. Not great but nothing wrong with it at the same time. Service is friendly, but a bit weird. We had... More

The food was good, nothing to complain there. Also the service was OK. BUT: We ordered a bottle of Tancredi red wine, the price being 29 Euro the bottle. The chef the service came back 5 min. later with a bottle in his hand and only very briefly showed it to us. He said it is a Tancredi, but the... More

During our one week holiday near Sciacca we ate twice here and the whole family enjoyed the fresh fish dishes, and the excellent pasta courses.Sicilian food at its best and a very good choice of wines.
