Service - what service?

The entrance to this restaurant is less than inspiring - down some very steep steps that rather commits one to the place, but it was decent enough once inside, apart from the fairly hideous "naive" paintings that adorn the walls and rather harsh lighting. Our pasta dinners were delicious. The atmosphere is interesting. When walking through the small entryway & down the steps we were surprised at the size of the restaurant. Each table is dressed with linens & a unique centerpiece. The staff isn't overly friendly but will respond to your kindness as a customer. Being in a 17th century olive oil mill... More

This town is on the tourist trail in Italy so the expectations of a good meal were low. We were very pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome, excellent menu, the very good service & some of the best Italian food we have ever had. Search it out go down the steps & enjoy!

Had a lovely meal - homemade pasta was lovely. However, having finished our meal we found it impossible to catch the eye of any passing waiters(all seemed intent on not looking to see if customers needed anything more). It was 30 mins after finishing our main course before we managed to grab a waiters attention and by then we ready... More

A lovely restaurant almost hidden in the streets of Alberobello - the restaurant is down some stairs - basement and quite large. The staff are very welcoming and excellent service. The lunch meal consisted of pasta which was freshly cooked but before our meal our party were treated to the local focaccia which is wonderful. Quite reasonable prices and definitely... More

I'm giving an honest opinion on this restaurant. In general, the food taste is good, the portions are small, so not really enough. To be honest, the service is very poor and be aware they are only really concerned about how much you spend £$$ here in order to get good service. Oh, and also beware they charge you for... More

An attractive building and good local food. We have no serious criticism but we felt it was a big operation that just lacked the real warm welcome and attention that we experienced elsewhere during our recent visit to Puglia.

This restaurant is housed in an old mill where olives were pressed for their oil. Very atmospheric although the red grouting in the brickwork is a little bizarre! In the middle of Alberobello, the restaurant is very large, spanning a block between two streets, with entances on both sides. Excellent food, especially the assorted antipasti of the house, which is... More
