We ate here on one evening whilst on holiday. We were placed at a table next to the outlet air conditioning unit on the terrace which was blowing out hot air and it was 36C !! Asked to be moved which they did but from then on things went rather down hill. One of our party did not get her... More

Not sure which restaurant other reviewers ate at... The food was excellent and well presented. They allowed us to share a set menu with no complaint. The focaccia bread with cheese and meat plate to start the dinner was nicely prepared. Pasta was just the right firmness and the sauces were great. We had lamb which was prepared so nicely... More

The food here was fine, but ut was not even close to the best we had in Apulia. It was overpriced, but not outrageously. The staff were inattentive. It took a solid 30 minutes of effort to get someone's attention so that we could order food, and later another 30 to get another bottle of water. You can do both... More

We went on a coach party dinner and I suppose they were given a budget. The food was bland. The antipasto was okay. Both pasta dishes were bland. As we have been in Italy for two weeks this the worst meal we have had.

We ate twice here during a three day stay and wish we had gone back for a third visit (went to Trullo d'oro instead - mistake!). The antipasti was a magnificent variety of produtti tipici and locale. The wine was very reasonable. Grilled local lamb was perfectly cooked. Above all, there is Domenico, the ever present and very pleasant owner... More

Great friendly atmosphere and local food. Not the cheapest Puglia food, but well worth the experience, Both teenage children found something on the menu and the entree of focaccia was great. This is an amazing town, that needs to be enjoyed from all angles including the food.

After exploring Alberobello in the heat we were in desperate need of shade and refreshment. We stumbled across L'Aratro and were so glad. The staff were all super friendly chatting with us about our trip. When we left they offered to refill our water bottles with icy water free of charge. These are genuinely kind people The restaurant was nice... More

Upon arrival in Alberobello it was nearly 1 pm and we were tired and hungry. We were recommended to go to L'Aratro which turned out to be only a short walk from our Trulli! What a wonderful and charmiing ristorante it was indeed. We were served by the delightful owner's daughter and Cosimo who recommended the local dishes and wine... More
