We stayed in Dosso next village up the valley at the L'Antico Borgo (great place, highly recommended, avoid the crowds in Levanto). This is the only restaurant in the area. It is popular with locals and tourists. It is very basic but clean and the food is fresh and thoughtfully prepared. We met a German gentlemen who has been coming... More

Food straight out of Nonna's kitchen! Not the #1 most gourmet meal I had in Italy, but by far my favourite. Traditional, delicious fare. Delightful view over the Levanto valley- make sure you're up there for sunset. The 4 of us ate 3 courses with wine, all for 75 euro, and we were stuffed. You chose from a very short... More

We had a wonderful dinner, the service, food drinks were excellent. No pretentious put-ons here, just first class authentic Italian food and hospitality at great value. It certainly appeared to be the reaturant of choice for the locals.

Concur with previous review. Hard walk up there so expensive taxi needed. We walked back down to Levanto. Road is bit dark but very quiet. Nice to digest food and to experience lovely mountain air and lights of villages. Food great and inexpensive so well worth trouble. Would not go on off-chance though, the restaurant was full the evening I... More

We found the well hidden restaurant in a little village in the mountains by asking an old lady sitting on a bench near the church. Even though we don't speak any Italian she succeded to explain to us where it was. Otherwise we had never found it. We had a wonderful tortellini and a very dilicious rabbit followed by the... More

First of all, the taxi to and from the restaurant cost almost as much as the meal (due to the fact that the restaurant is a couple of miles up in the hills above Levanto, there are only a small handful of taxis, and the meal is so inexpensive) The pasta was delicious and the portions ridiculous. That was good... More

Delicious, mountain food. Several courses came one after the other and were very tasty. Mama cooked and kids served. It seems no matter what you eat or what you drink the cost is the same. Very good value and lovely experience.

We went to this place upon the recommendation of our host in Levanto, who also arranged the table for us. It's hardly labelled, hard to find, and the staff speak virtually no English, yet it was packed with tourists, all of whom, like us, I suspect, were looking for an alternative to the buzzing restaurants in the middle of Levanto... In a tiny mountaintop town near Cinque Terre, on a carefully constructed porch overlooking the beautiful valley leading to the Riviera di Levante, lies Ristorante Zita, hands down our favorite dinner in the area. Situated in the very home of a kind local family, the hale and hearty food is freshly cooked every day by the mother owner, then generously... More

Great food - go there hungry as portions are big! Nice family run restaurant with great views. You need to park at the bottom of a hill and walk up which might be a bit challenging for some people.
