Traditional cooking with a modern twist - good prices and really nice people in a family run restaurant. This was the best eating experience we had on the island and we will come back soon!

We had dinner here again, on the road to the beautiful beach of Kastraki, this visit to Naxos after our incredible dinner last year. This time, there was no wait and I had an opportunity to take some pictures of the sparkling kitchen. We were warmly welcomed, again, and ordered a variety of foods—tzatziki with garlic (stupendous!), Fava bean puree,... More

Only stopped here for a drink as we were on a long and exhausting cycle ride. However, we were tempted by the grilled fresh figs wrapped in local ham and they were superb and presented so well, with slices of organic apple! The rest of the menu looked interesting with lots of local ingredients. Service was very friendly and we... More

Very good greek food, taverna style but a bit more sophisticated and interesting. Good service and great atmosphere, and the watermrlon amd cake on the house were great as well :)

Someone suggested to me this restaurant and i made a reservation directly. When i went i faced a classic greek taverna and the food was amazing. Super starters and salads and everything was very good. I'm still dreaming of their food. Only one negative is the service but they are telling you from the beginning that you need 1h30 to... More

We were driving at night on the quad bike when we saw what looked to us like a restaurant. We have asked for a table though the restaurant seemed quite full. Without a word uttered they moved a table from inside next to the other tables outside and that has become our table. As a starter we shared a rucola... More

The food was very good - I would have liked a few more selections without cheese (almost everything on the menu included cheese).

We visited this tavern twice during our holidays in Naxos. It serves good quality Greek food with a modern twist and very good ingredients. Portions are slightly smaller than elsewhere in Naxos but still more than enough. The place offers fresh fish every day and has a good wine selection for a tavern. The atmosphere is lively, informal and relaxed.... More

The idea is simple, but it works! Greek food offered to tourist is very standardised, and still even this is not very well known by common tourists, that usually stick to truly basic touristic menu. Here at Axiotissa, the most common greek food is prepared with care and a special attention to the ingredients and spices, and respect for the... More
