The idea is simple, but it works! Greek food offered to tourist is very standardised, and still even this is not very well known by common tourists, that usually stick to truly basic touristic menu. Here at Axiotissa, the most common greek food is prepared with care and a special attention to the ingredients and spices, and respect for the... More

Me and my girlfriend visited this place after swimming at the beach of glyfada. Nice environment. The food was absolutely delicious with grate quality of ingedients. Surely a place to go on the island. Don't forget to make a phone reservation.

The best place to eat at naxos. High quality traditional food at reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly and very fast. You have to make reservation at rush hour and high season

I have been 4 times in Naxos and this was my first visit in Axiotissa Restaurant. The food was delicious, innovative Greek cuisine, with fresh ingredients and imaginative recipes. The value for money was very good. The service was not very quick but it suited the whole atmosphere. The only bad thing is that the restaurant was a little hard... More

We ended up coming here three times in total during our last stay on Naxos and each time we were left full (bordering on bursting) and blissfully content. The first impression guests receive is that this is not exactly the easiest place to find, but that despite of that the place is nearly always packed, particularly by locals, whether it... More

Its a bit off the beaten track but well worth hunting this one down. The food and menu section was excellent. We had wanted to try the Axiotissa last year and failed because I think possibly we turned up too early for it to be open - very English of us! All the food is home made with a large... More

We finally had the chance to eat in Axiotissa after a week on the island. We have tried all recommendations before and all places had something to offer but we were still missing the local thing.. till Axiotissa! An extremely big menu of local cooked food and an additional big list of daily specials that made our selection extremely hard!... More

Really worth the good reputation. Make sure you make a reservation. Many Greek inspired plates with a twist!! Your only problem will be how to choose between them. Be careful portions are big. We were a large party therefore we have a chance to try a lot of the plates, some were better than others but I think that’s a... More

Unlikely roadside location for an excellent taverna/restaurant. Homemade food, executed with care and imagination. Good service from people who know the dishes and can guide you through the large menu. Long list of daily specials well worth exploring.
