We recently enjoyed two dinners at To Elliniko in Naxos Town. My family (2 adults and 2 small children) where wandering in the area when a local pointed us in this direction for the best 'homecooked' family Greek meal in the area. We were welcomed by the owner (or, should I say, previous owner who proudly told us that his... More

We loved this place - the owner/server was a jolly outgoing Canadian from Montreal (speaks perfect English and French) who was lived in Greece a long time; he really made for an interesting chat. After Santorini, food seemed inexpensive. Food was simple and good. Dessert came with complimentary figs and watermelon, and my toddler got complimentary pasta.

I have been traveling to Naxos for the past 7 years, always eat here at sometime, whilst in Naxos. The owner is very friendly. I liked the Herb/Garlic butter for the bread and the Greek Olives, the problem is if I eat to much I struggle to eat my meal. I had excellent Meat Balls, with local grown potatoes cooked... More

Very good and popular eatery - in the evening you will have to wate a little to be seated. They make traditional Greek food - I liked octopus stifade most of all.

We ate there 3 times and it was a lot of fun with good food and better than usual house wine. Good to see a family run place humming and be careful about giving any cheek to the daughter who is a waitress.

We had passed this tavern quite a few times on our way from our hotel going into town. It was always packed, so we thought we should give it a try. Upon arrival all tables were taken, but the owner said that one would be free in 5 minutes or so. We sat outside and soon after, were given a... More

we ate at this simple local taverna on a cool, wet evening. Busy inside, as no outside tables. Prompt service from a charming waitress with excellent English. Good, simple food, and my partner's octopus stuf ado was seriously good. A good choice in a town with lots of them.

The food was delicious and I would definitely come here again, however it is not the type of food you should expect to blow you away. The meal was solid as we ordered the fried local fish (catch of the day) and the veal in tomato sauce. Both were as promised and filling. The value is great as only 20... More
