Stopped for lunch with my wife at an old standby. I had Burrito San Jose while she had quest dulls ranchera, which we both enjoyed thoroughly.

highly disappointing. Maybe I'm spoiled having lived in the southwest for so many years. The salsa tasted as if it was based on watered down ketchup and had no substance to it. We ordered nachos as an appetizer for the table and were presented with 10 chips that were decorated with a smear of beans and flakes of dried out... More

Plaza Azteca Denbigh at 12755 Jefferson Avenue closed in May 2014 and move to it's new location about ½ mile north on Jefferson Ave. to 12835 Jefferson Ave. Newport News VA, in the old Steve & Johns Steakhouse. Jean and I had dinner with our friends Jen, Jim, and their friends Shirley and Don. Although the place was crowded we... More

I'm not a fan of chain restaurants, but Plaza Azteca does a great job of keeping their food consistent across all their restaurants. The food is always served quickly and tastes delicious. This is a great alternative to fast food when you are short on time.

Typical Americanized Mexican food. The food is plentiful. The service is good. There are several locations in the local area. The buildings are kept in excellent repair, remodeled every few years. The food is good. Upon being seated, you are given corn ships and salsa. There is fresh guacamole that is mixed at the table.

A large group of us went for dinner and received good service and good food. The menu is large with the typical Mexican choices. Atmosphere was good and is a good place for families, as we had several children with us. Would go back if ever again in the area.

We are from New York visiting DC and Virginia area with my 13 year old. We stopped here for dinner because it was close to our hotel. Food was very good, reminded me of my favorite Mexican place in New York for half the price. Must try the guacamole the make it fresh in front of you. Sizzling stakes are... More
