Mitty's Ristorante 1000 Omni Blvd, Newport News, is gone and so is the Omni Hotel. This resort hotel has been replaced by the Magnuson Hotel and Convention Center at Oyster Point. Mitty's has been replaced by The Green House, the hotel bills this place as "a hip dining joint where businessmen can unwind after meetings".

My waitress was amazing. So friendly, an super attentive. I just wish I could remember her name!! The food was great. It was a bit more than I wanted to pay, but once I tasted it, I realized that it was worth it.

I had a wonderful time visiting friends in the area. The wait staff was extremely friendly and catered to my every need. The food was fantastic - fresh and delicious...kudos to the Chef. I will definately visit again when in the area.

The food was okay. But the severs at night seemed more interested in texting each other and hanging out at the bar than taking care of us customers.

We didn't notice the excellent ratings most of these people write. The breakfast is about as regular as it gets, and it's expensive. Buffet includes eggs sausage breads and fruit..10 bucks. We went to the Asian Grill for sushi...great place...and Aromas for breakfast the second time we were there. We'll probably do the same again since they're both very close,... More

I came to Mitty's with my family this weekend because of the trip advisor rating and the service and food was EXCELLENT Mitty's really deserves the rating that it has. Sharon made the experience all the better, she really is great very attentive and quick with service. I will defiantly be dinning there again.

My wife and I went for lunch on the strength of the other reviews on this site. It was a Saturday, between checkout and checkin, and we had the whole place to ourselves. Nobody there usually means not a great place. Not here! Our waiter, Nick, was very attentive (OK, sure, we were his only customers, but he still did... More

Try their "buffet" breakfast. It is unlike what I had been to. You choose from the list and instead of looking at the buffet bar where food are heated with UV light, you order what you want and the chef cooks it to your liking. Then the waiter brings the food to your table. Magnificent! I am on a restricted... More

They were trying but it was an uphill battle. Seafood pizza was recommended by my server. BIG mistake. Just awful! Forgot my salad. Napoleon for desert (trying to wipe out the taste of the pizza) was a gelatinous mess. Atmosphere OK. Very noisy once piano started playing. Would not go again.
