Food was great, service was slow, but the place was packed

There's a reason they have been in business so long....the food is great! We got breakfast/brunch buffet, and we could not find anything we didn't like! Pancakes are served hot and fresh to the table while other items are on buffet, The biscuits and gravy were fabulous, as were the grits! Waitress... read more

We stopped in on a Saturday morning and were seated right away. Everyone seemed comfortable as they read the morning newspaper and conversed with the many servers. It must be a favorite for locals. I had to try the pumpkin pancakes and I'm so glad I did! They were dense and moist and delicious! Can't wait to return for more.

People have been telling me to go here for sometime and I finally took the time to visit. I wish I had come here sooner, the service was a little spotty, but the food was really good. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. The do not try to rush you thru your meal, everything is at a slow pace; you have... More

Stopped in here with my toddler for a simple breakfast. Loved that you could just order toast and fruit a la carte. Our waitress was so sweet with my son, talking to him and getting him extra apple juice. A great, quiet little spot for a good wholesome meal. Great value and never-ending coffee :)

I ordered the special of the day, did not realize it was mayonnaise laden chicken salad smothered in cheddar cheese and crushed potato chips. You would think that multiple layers of fat would taste good, but it did not. Accompanied by a "frozen fruit salad" which was mostly cool whip. It was gross. Waitress never came back to check on... We had visited the city center and the areas many times, but we had never seen the lunch bee. My wife asked, "How could we have missed this place during our visits" A couple took us and we really enjoyed the food. Great food and great service. We loved it.

My wife and I ate breakfast at The Lunch Bell today. The food was cooked perfectly and delivered in a timely manner Our server was very nice and efficient. The greeting when we first walked in was a bit terse. A waive from the kitchen to seat ourselves. No sign was in sight. This place is rough around the edges,... More

We were in the area looking for a place to grab breakfast before an early doctor appointment and found The Lunch Bell on line. It's a little bit of a chore to find, as it's in the new-ish Town Center...and those roads aren't in the old GPSs! But it has a nice large awning with its name on it and... More

The quality and predictability of the meals assures the diner of an experience to be remembered. From the Swain family's recipe book the meals are southern style with pork, poultry and fresh produce. My family loves breakfast at the Lunch Bell restaurant.

I eat here on occasion with my Mother and my friends. We love the food. The pies and Mounds Cake are to die for. However, we were very put-off when we saw 2 of the waitresses reach their hands into an open bag of chips sitting on the counter at the food prep area and put the chips in their... More
