This was one of the first places we stumbled upon when first moving to Newport News, we had a terrific lunch then, and I continue to love their breakfasts and lunches. Sweet Potato Pancakes are my favorite breakfast here, and the Warm Chicken Salad Casserole is a great lunch. No matter what you choose, the staff are all very engaged... More

Looks charming and cute and the service was fast, but it was overly crowded and the food tasted just OK. Prices were also ok, but should have been less compared to the food quality.

The food and deserts are great. The pricing is way too high. It costs me over $10 for a sandwich with chips. A small sandwich.

Love the breakfast at the Lunch Bell. The 2 egg special includes the eggs cooked your way, meat which includes bacon, sausage or corned beef hash, toast or biscuit and a tomato slice well prepare, nice surroundings and good service.

Great little restaurant for breakfast or lunch, but the breakfast is great and they serve it all day on Saturdays. Family owned and operated since they opened years ago and the service is friendly by all the wait staff. Desserts are really good and made from scratch by the owner daily.

My husband and I go to this place quiet often. It has great breakfast menu and serves fresh homemade food. I love biscuits and sweet potato pancakes with their special Maple butter. Try it for sure!!

I have had lunch at Lunch Bell several times. I admit the highlight of this restaurant for me is the homemade pies and cobblers. They have a list of freshly baked fruit pies and cakes everyday. The Lunch Bell is a warm and friendly locally owned restaurant. They are open for breakfast and lunch. The restaurant serves homestyle soups, sandwiches,... More

It's a bit pricey for lunch but for a special occasion it's a wonderful place to visit. Monday and Thursday are hot chicken salad day, this is my FAVORITE. The frozen fruit pudding side is out of this world. Staff is also very nice.

Had the Cuban sandwich. Pork, pickles and spicy mayo. Also came with hot fries. Sweet tea was just the way it is supposed to be. Waitress also brought a sample of their hot chicken salad, it also was tasty. The only down side was they do not serve alcohol.

I use to eat their sandwiches when they first got started going to corporate buildings with a basket of goodies. Now this place is always busy. We went with another couple. The service was good but the sandwiches were okay. Kind of favorless from the beginning. Sandwiches such as chicken were sandwich package meats not fresh chicken. Okay if you... More
