Janet A real family meal! This has to be the best restaurant I've ever been to for both food and service. The lobster salad for lunch is my favorite. I especially like the Thanksgiving buffet. Everyone who works there makes you feel like family. I have their cookbook but it's not the same as having Betty and the others fix... More

While staying at the nearby Marriot City Center I ventured around the lake to this restaurant for breakfast. It was Saturday and they had a buffet set up which looked very good. I felt like trying their waffle though so ordered a combo of waffle, 2 eggs and choice sausage, bacon, ham or cornbeef hash. The breakfast was wonderful everything... More

My husband and I enjoy lunches here but we like the breakfasts even better. The homemade soups are a very welcome treat on a cold day. The service is very good and the staff is very welcoming.

I have been attending this restaurant for over 20 years and look forward every time I know I can go again. I have NEVER had anything except the finest cuisine! Truly, quality control is exhibited here. Breakfast is wonderful, but lunch is beyond exceptional!! No matter what you order, I know you will be satisfied. If you have to go... More

Found this accidentally while shopping at City Center - Oyster Point. Great homemade sandwiches and soup ! Old diner feel with experienced waitress sans piercings ! Give this a try, you'll like it.

This was one of the first places we stumbled upon when first moving to Newport News, we had a terrific lunch then, and I continue to love their breakfasts and lunches. Sweet Potato Pancakes are my favorite breakfast here, and the Warm Chicken Salad Casserole is a great lunch. No matter what you choose, the staff are all very engaged... More

Looks charming and cute and the service was fast, but it was overly crowded and the food tasted just OK. Prices were also ok, but should have been less compared to the food quality.

The food and deserts are great. The pricing is way too high. It costs me over $10 for a sandwich with chips. A small sandwich.

Love the breakfast at the Lunch Bell. The 2 egg special includes the eggs cooked your way, meat which includes bacon, sausage or corned beef hash, toast or biscuit and a tomato slice well prepare, nice surroundings and good service.

Great little restaurant for breakfast or lunch, but the breakfast is great and they serve it all day on Saturdays. Family owned and operated since they opened years ago and the service is friendly by all the wait staff. Desserts are really good and made from scratch by the owner daily.
