At one time I worked close to Luigi's and I and some fellow workers would eat at Luigi's a few times a week. Additionally, I would have an evening meal with my wife at least once a month. Based on that I can tell you that the Pizza is the best in town bar none. The garlic knots they serve... More

Taking a suggestion of a friend who lives in the area, we opted for Italian which made me hesitate being of that ethnic extraction. However, I was delighted by the warm atmosphere and lovely server who made us feel like family visiting on a Saturday evening. The menu had a variety of good choices although I decided on the petite... More

As overseas visitors when you park outside this restaurant you are not sure you are in the right place as it is next to a gun shop and not in a typical USA mall type setting. However do not let that put you off as inside the food is excellent. it is like visiting a piece of Little Italy from... More

After reading other people's reviews, we decided to try Luigi's. The menu was fairly standard Italian. The food was very tasty. We came on a Thursday night, which happened to correspond with their new Couples Night special. It worked well for us. We both enjoyed our wines, appetizer, entrees (Seafood Extravaganza and Lobster Ravioli) and dessert (ice cream). Portions were... More

So, my husband and I decided to try this "#1" Tripadvisor rated restaurant for Newport News...are thoughts, who is voting? I am seriously confused. It is average, if not slightly below because of the grease. Everything is sitting in a pool of oil: the bread, the seafood, the pasta...we left feeling like we were going to break out in acne... This place was recommended for lunch by a coworker. We both had the buffet which included salad, pizza and soup. Both of us really enjoyed the food and the service was great.

Our first time here and it was for lunch. The restaurant consists of one large room with a very high ceiling. No sound deadening, so it is very loud when it is full of people. Our pinot grigio came very chilled and our lunches came quickly as well, after we had feasted on the garlic knots. Serving sizes are immense!... More

Yum! We stopped here based off of other reviews. The garlic knots will great you and wow they are delicious! I had the white baked chicken, it was heavenly white cheese galore. I stuffed myself on knots so I took most of my petite dish home. I tried my daughters spaghetti and again, yum! I order a nice chianti glass... More

We are from out of the area (Albany, NY) and wanted to try a local Italian restaurant that wasn't a chain. I chose Luigi's based on the Trip Advisor reviews. What an EXCELLENT choice! The staff was extremely friendly. They have been in business for 30 years. The owner, Sonny, came out to introduce himself. He prepares the food, etc.... More

Great service! The waiters and waitresses were really friendly and very tentative to our table of 10. They were always right there whenever we need anything. Super quick service, and a great environment. It looks just like a restaurant in Italy! The hit the nail on the head with that!! I would highly recommend the Chicken White Baked Meal. The... More
