If you leave Rick's hungry it is your fault. The helpings are significant. Their service could be better, but the food makes up for it.

I have never eaten at this restaurant but had heard awesome things according to reviews. So I called to place an order and after several rings a young lady answered and immediately asked if I would hold. I had no problem waiting. I just didn't expect to be forgotten about. So over 7 and half minutes ( not an exaggeration... More

My family and I ate at Rick’s on Saturday, October 4, 2014 around 1:30pm – after we attended the Newport News Festival. I had the Italian steak sandwich, my wife had the regular steak and cheese and my daughter had the chicken finger meal. My sandwich was very good with lots of pepperoni and a very flavorful red sauce. My... More

I got carry away and can only speak to the food itself and not the service and atmosphere. The cheesesteaks were great and on par with Philly's. Though I personally, think the large amount of meat is a negative for the meat and cheese to roll ratio. But I was not wanting for food (as I got a large and... More

I absolutely love this family. They are the sweetest people I know. I use to go to Straight Outta Philly when they owned it I've been going to Ricks since it's been open on Jefferson & now they have another location. They are very friendly. They make you feel like you've known them all your life. Rick even comes out... More

The steak and cheese sandwiches are great! Big, meaty, juicy beef served on a soft roll. Split a small order to feed two adults. Two minor items: - get rid of the malt vinegar. That's the worse tasting vinegar I've ever had. Spend a few extra dollars and buy some decent stuff. I ruined a half an order of fries... More

This is a serious cheesesteak, often imitated rarely duplicated. You won't find one much better south of Philly!

The Week Rick's opened, I was there with my Wife 3 times that week. When My Son came to town this was the first place we ate. Great Cheesesteaks! I normally get a small cheesesteak( the large is huge) and I always share a small Onion Rings, which is also huge. Once my wife ordered a cheesesteak salad and she... More

Want a great Philly cheese steak, this is your place. In a hurry, don't frustrate yourself. Don't get me wrong, the staff was very friendly just slow. We seemed to have 2 or 3 different waitresses, and I think it caused some confusion. The food was prompt and hot after we ordered. The staff just seemed disorganized. But slow service... More
