Its been while since we visited Fin's since the new owners took over. We were not disappointed. My husband and I went for lunch and were seated by Connor in a nice booth quickly. The menu is great and there are several lunch specials including a 3 course for $15 and another for $25. We choose the $15 one and... More

What a nice ending to a 3 day birthday celebration . The decor and menu looked very inviting and wish we had come prepared to partake in the 5 or 7 course meal with wine pairings . We settled for ceasar salads , corn and she crab soups as apps and then had the the crab cake , veal shank... More

My husband and I have read a lot of good to great reviews of Fin Seafood, so we decided to give it a try. We went there at 2 PM and ordered their 3-course Lunch for $15 each. I initially ordered the She Crab soup for the first course, but had to give it to my husband because it was... More

I have never been disappointed with a meal at Fin. The Firecracker Shrimp appetizer and Scallops over Organic Parmesan Risotto are my favorite dishes. Most of the menu is locally sourced, organic, (some from the chef's own garden) and always fresh. The Belle Glos Pinot Noir is my new favorite from their impeccable wine list. Fin's 3 course $15 lunch... More

This was an enjoyable meal. The food is excellent. Most of the vegetables are locally grown. The fish and poultry were locally sourced. The chef's gentle loving care for the food that he is serving was apparent with each course of the meal. The service was attentive --- just right. She anticipated needs for refills without waiting for a request.... More

We visited Fin Seafood in Newport News for the first time this week and were very impressed with the quality of the food and its superb preparation, the very capable staff (we were served by Matt) and the very nice atmosphere of the restaurant. They have both inside and outdoor seating and do take reservations - which I recommend. Their... More

Was looking for a seafood restaurant and I found this place. The selection of different types of seafood was lacking. I ended up not eating seafood at all, and ordered what the waiter recommended and it was the lamb. Very surprised when I received just 2 little lamb chops as the main entree. The meat was good, but the seasoning... More

Lunch last Friday, late about 2:30 PM. Restaurant had very good wait staff [Conner] and a full staff in the kitchen. Got the 3 course lunch for $15. and with the lettuce wedge, fish tacos [ 2] and the push pop for desert it was not only a bargain but very good food. Will travel down to Newport News to... More

I have enjoyed FIN a couple of times but went on Friday hoping that Katie was working the bar based on her previous outstanding service and knowledge. I had a friend in from out of town who loves a good Martini and is somewhat particular about how they are made. As usual Katie was exceptional; drinks were great and she... More
