A delightful dinner with friendly French service

We were staying in Gordes and had just arrived the night before. We decided to eat at the hotel restaurant where we had the worst service however in general we just thought it was the French hospitality. We were recommended L'Arome by a local and decided to give it a try. As soon as we arrived we... read more

we stayed in a nice B&N near Bonnieux, and went to several restaurants, trying to avoid the "tourist traps"; l'Arome clearly wants to profile themself as the better restaurant, and they have the right to do so, you pay a little bit more, but what you get is very much more: they have several well equillibrated menu's, whereby every dish... After being several times in Bonnieux years ago, it was time to go again. As "Le Fournil" was closed we took our chance in "L'Arome" and we didn't regret it! We had a really delicious dinner, with perfect srevice and excellent wine. All the food was prepared very carefully, dishes are nicelly arranged while you can still see (and feel)... More

Our party of four, having eaten here a number of times before, were renewing our acquaintance with this well known restaurant tucked away in a pedestrian alley-way in a converted house in the old part of the attractive Luberon village of Bonnieux. The two four-course set menus at 44€ and 56€ pp looked significantly over-priced so we went a la... More

Great food & ambiance at L'Arôme. We loved it! Between us we had the pork and lamb - both were very good, as were the desserts. Service was impeccable as well.

A Sunday evening at the end of March, just before the start of the season, few restaurants are open in the Luberon area, so we thought we'd just make due with what we'd find. What a happy surprise to have ended up at l'Arome! We were treated to a cozy and authentic decor, timely and friendly service, excellent dishes and... More

If you are in the area and fancy that one night of the holiday to blow a few hard-earned Euros on a restaurant meal - then this is the place to go. Restaurant, food and staff all live up to its local reputation of being the best in Bonnieux - and so far my favourite amongst the local villages. Budget... More

We dined there on our son's birthday, the only relevance being he was in Australia and we were in France. We loved it. There is a calmness and class about this restaurant that is almost meditative. Highly recommended.

I had a memorable time at this restaurant. The price is reasonable for the standard of food and they serve very good wine. Have to book in advance. Though I was there in October 2013 (supposed low season), the restaurant was full. Base yourself in bonnieux when travelling in the Lubéron région. . You won't regret it.

We had a lovely meal at L'Arome on Saturday night. As English vistitors to the area, over the past five years we have dined there on many occasions and the food is always perfect but it takes more than great food to make a great restaurant. It also takes professional service, pleasing decor, warmth and charm which L'Arome has in... More
