The bistro definitely has the best atmosphere in Saint Martin with a more lovely feel as people come off their boats to eat, with day trippers and holiday makers alike. It is a busy place, and to make a table for service you really need to arrive by 7.00pm for an aperitif - although you won't be hurried away towards... More

We ate here this evening and what we found was (a) friendly staff; (b) lovely food; and (c) a buzzing atmosphere. My wife and I shared the Côte de boeuf which was excellent but the rest of the menu looks varied and interesting as well with a mix of meat and seafood. The place was very busy by the time... More

This restaurant is one we have eaten at previously and we knew the service was poor however, this experience beggars belief. We waited for the beginning of service and made it known we wished to eat, we, unlike other patrons, were ignored. Strangely when we asked for the bill for our drinks we were acknowledged but in a very offhand manner.... More

This is a lovely quaint restaurant with blackboards for menus changing on a daily basis and fresh sea food.

On arrival, the terrace tables were full but we were offered a drink at the bar (much needed after the morning bike ride), we were seated outside within 5 minutes and had a quick plat du jour and the house terrine, 2 green salads, 2 glasses of rosé = content mother and daughter. Friendly staff, great location.

This place served the worst food with the worst service I have ever had in 30 years visiting France. Plus, it's a rip-off. Go to Baleine Blu

Loved eating on the harbour in a restaurant with lots of buzz and atmosphere. Short menu on the chalkboard, all cooked and presented to high standards. Côte Du Boef was especially good and chips were divine. Good value too considering the quality. Get there early as they don't take bookings.

A good location. Very popular. Appears to have a regular clientele. We enjoyed the salmon starter & white fish main course - all to a high standard. Staff were a little impatient. Not cheap, but then this is St. Martin.

Good food in this crowded and noisy quay side bar. much loved by locals who use the bar to meet and drink not just to eat. Decent grub at a fair price. quick service, good choice of local wines.

We ate here on our arrival to France as recommended by the staff where we were staying (we also returned before we left the island for our last meal). On the first night there was a private local party inside - always a good sign. Food on both nights was excellent - from scallops to slads to veal to monkfish... More
