Great little spot

Good home cooked food, great service, cool location. A nice change from the overpriced restaurants down at the harbor. It's exactly what it says it is: cooking like at home!

Every time i am in Saint Martin, i make sure i stop for a meal at 'un air de famille'.......the setting is retro-romantic and it feels like someones home. The food is just like that as well: home made, honest, fresh........Corinne an her staff run this little place as true allrounders and with a good energy. It is set appart... More

Slightly off the tourist "beaten track" in that it isn't by the port, but well worth a visit. Prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious, not over-bearing and served with a welcome smile and great atmosphere. You won't find a printed menu, except for drinks, just a blackboard, in French and English, to choose from a variety of... More

We were walking around the Village passively looking for a place to have dinner, the tourist places are amusing a few times, our room has the best view of the port in town and we were getting a bit tired of fish, even if it is good. It was just before lunch and we smelled something good and popped in... More

Most of the restaurants in St. Martin are down by the Quay and have a sameness about them. We wanted something different so walked up to the back of the town away from the shops and quaysides to this restaurant that is located in the quaint commercial area. The restaurant looks nice. A bit like a Bric a Brac shop... More

Situated on a marquetsquare outside the tourist area, the restaurant has a splendid recommendation wall plaque collection from one of the best French tourist guides organisation. That is what prompted us to give it a try. The decoration is very tasty and gives the place a cosy feeling. Service was quick, no menu but a blackboard, and a very ecclectic... More

We noticed this restaurant on the first full day of our trip to St Martin, as a place that had a lot of customers eating outside on Sunday lunchtime. We went and enjoyed our meal, which we found very pleasant. We wold be happy to return, with the main comment being that although it was good, it wasn't altogether like... More

Was at first disappointed with the small menu but reasoned that this allowed the kitchen to focus on what it does best....wrong. The food was microwaved and dried out and not remotely good. Shameful is the only fitting description of our meal.

It was just on the off chance that we went there this evening. It was only a few yards / meters from our holiday home and away from the main "drag" . The service was superb, the ambience perfect - like a friend's house - and was such value for money - I have spent more on lunchtime moules frites.

IWespent two weeks in St Martin. The restaurants are mainly at the harbour area for reasons including the views and town centre atmosphere. There are some excellent "finer dining" restaurants at the port which include the one beside tourist office-jardin something, the Avant Port and Gheorgi where excellent Tomas is waiter before he and his mates head to bar Cubano...
