Great location - order fish soup!

It was packed when we turned up on a Saturday afternoon but waited for a table. Service was friendly and very efficient, coping well with my husband's very limited French (i.e. "oui" is about it!). I had the soup de poisson en croute which was absolutely delicious. My husband's steak was great... read more

Glad I ate here before reading the reviews! Waiting staff were excellent, friendly attentive and knowledgable. We ordered from the fixed prix €26 menu. We both had fish soup which was great. I had sea bass, beautifully cooked with berre blanc and veg. Steven opted for cod in ham, perfectly cooked near translucent cod loin. Sweet was almond cake with... More

Title says it all. Merely adequate but great location. La Marine's new owner next door sets a higher standard but Le Belem is perfectly ok.

Chose this because of its position on the quayside (and the availability of tables in the shade). Pleasant but normal menu. Good attentive service. Decent wine choice and pricing. Food very acceptable, though not special. Good fish soup.

The duck salad was ok, but the fish was well over cooked. There are much better options for food along the port for very similar prices. Service was ok, and the location very pretty. Shame it was let down by the food.

Took forever to be served, but once order was taken food arrived within a few minutes, clearly made in bulk and sat on the side. Food was ok, but covered in cream and salty, but most things tasks ok when creamy! Good spot on harbour but sun disappears quickly in evening. Would recommend going to other side of harbour instead... More

We chose this restaurant whilst cycling for the day to our first visit to Saint Martin. Great location watch the world go by and enjoy some fresh local produce. My partner ordered moules with curry sauce, thought he would try something different to the normal moules frites on offer across the island. They arrived without the sauce on noticing the... More

Very poor tourist trap of a cafe/restaurant in a beautiful area. The worst moules frites I've ever eaten. The frites were ice cold and dry, I think reheated already and the moules were the smallest I've ever ever seen! Totally over cooked, zero flavour, it's as though they were boiled dry in water, no flavour and served with no sauce.... More

We usually frequent most lunch times when staying in St Martin for moules which are fantastic. The staff are all very nice and look after you well. My husband likes the beer and the Ott is excellent!!
