Quiet spot for diner

The food was nice, the wine was a little local gem. Staff were not really friendly nor smiling but we had a lovely time anyway. The restaurant was quiet and cosy. Clients seem really happy with the quality of the food.

At 11am in the sunny morning of an equinoxial spring tide, the whole town seemed to be down at the tideline finding delicacies to eat. We stopped here and ordered the moules and they were just wonderful. When I congratulated the waiter, he told me they had been freshly picked within the last hour. The place was bustling and very... First night - looked very busy - sat more than half an hour waiting to be served before giving up and walking away. Tried again 2 nights later - managed to get served, but the food was very poor.

Very picturesque, with good service Le Belem was a great choice for lunch. Full but with tables turning over there was a majority French clientele. The menu Prix fixé was great and the Maigrette delicious.

We has a good meal here, not exceptional but very decent, for a fairly reasonable price given that this is Ile de Ré.

After wating 45 minutes to get our food, neighbor tables were faster to get served, the owner told us that nobody is perfect and that's our mistake we didn't claim earlier. We never got our food and left after paying our wine. So, I can only write about the level of service (unfortunately 0 doesn't exist)

The setting is percy on the dock, with a pleasant little plaza for outside seating. The food was fine, with a high note for the drinks: both the kids diabolos ( fruit syrup and lemonade, ideal for French summer vacations) and the local ile de Re wines which are both surprisingly good and reasonably priced. fish dishes were good, accompaniments... We made the big mistake of not checking trip advisor before sitting down to lunch at Le Belem. The location is great and the tables were full, the menu was not cheap but we don't mind paying 30€ per person for good food. Sadly the food was terrible. We had mussels the day before in La Rochelle at a normal... More

The location is prime....right on the harbour with a lovely view...temptingly laid tables...one expected quality. However, we were sorely disappointed...the only good thing was a lovely bottle of rose which slightly softened the blow of poor quality and expensive food. I ordered oysters which unbeknown to me supposedly in July and August give off a kind of "grease" which when... More

I visited this restaurant with my wife for lunch. The restaurant is just in front of the port where the nice views are there. Since the location was good, we did not expect the quality of meals too much. However, the mussels with cream and the seabass were very tasty. We could enjoy both of tastes and views in this...
