Our hotelier recommended this tiny little restaurant off the main drag of Arromanches. We quite enjoyed it. The staff were busy but attentive and the young girl seemed anxious to practice her English. The house wine was very nice and reasonably priced. The appetizers were particularly tasty. I think everyone in the place was from North America.

This is a delightful restaurant just off the main street in Arromanches the food was gorgeous and the staff very helpful, as someone who does not eat meat it was great to be given a choice from the main menu, having said that, my husband does eat meat and was very impressed with everything he was served. Very good value... More

Average restaurant for France but one of the better ones in a town with poor choices. Food quality and choices as well as service was OK.

We found this Restaurant tucked away in the back streets away from the main tourist eating houses. We didn't expect much as they offered set meals at 16.5 euros for 3 courses but WOW..all home made and super quality. We were served by a very pleasant girl who it later turned out was the Chefs wife. I started with the... More

Attentive service from two lovely young people who appreciated my mum's humble attempts at their language, combined with great value and very tasty food ensured a fine experience. We were really impressed all round. Walked into first restaurant down street from Le Mulberry hotel and were delighted with what we found. We thought we were first in as 'twas all... More

I was surprised by the many positive ratings for this restaurant (which enticed me to go here in the first place) because I found that it fared well below average. We were here last night and the food was mediocre at best, it was bland and dry. The service was also very slow, we didn't even get serviettes or a... More

We had a really nice dinner in La Ripaille and the staff was very friendly. They had a vegetarian option which we didn't find in many other restuarants in France and everything we had was very tasty.

Had a fantastic last meal here, amazing choice on the menu, proper French dining experience, lovely dining room and decor, staff where very friendly and helped us out with our poor french, very reasonably priced too as this is not on the sea front. A must visit if your in Arromanches-les-Bains.

We had planned to eat in our own hotel but they did not open on Sunday evenings. They suggested La Ripaille and it exceeded our expectations. The food was superb and for a three course meal the price was very reasonable. Service was very efficient and provided us an English menu.

During our annual trip to Arromanches we always stay at a local Bed and Breakfast and they do our evening meal. On this night, Friday 9th May, a French Bank holiday they couldn't and they recommended La Ripaille. Our group, a total of 10 had reservations and I found the place to have a great atmosphere. I order the set... More
