We arrived here for dinner at about 19h30. There was quite a good choice of food on the menu. The service was very quick, maybe too much so at the start, but got slower as the evening went on (and the place got busier). The staff were on the whole courteous and attentive. The food was nice & reasonably good... More

Our food arrived rather more quickly than expected and it tasted very much as though it had been through the microwave rather than cooked in the traditional way. The cola certainly wasn't a brand leader and seemed to have a slightly oily film and was served without ice or a straw but, bizarrely, with a large cocktail stirrer stuck in... More

In May, the highlight of a short trip to Normandy was a day in the blustery sunshine eating our way through a bowl of moules normandes. In August, we stopped here on the way from the ferry terminal for our first lunch in France again. About ten degrees warmer, much more crowded, we settled down for round two. The moles... More

During our visit to Arromanches we wanted a quick meal! I have never had a med rare steak served so quickly - it beats KFC and Macs. However, it was cooked how I liked it and my wife's a ham cheese salad was well presented. Food was good, but the service could have been a bit slower!

Our second trip to France and we had been looking forward to moules which we had enjoyed so much a few years earlier in Cherbourg. The moules here were so small, the size of my pinkie fingernail, that we had a hard time finding them! To top it off, the waiter insisted we had to pay extra for the fries... More

Arriving late in to Arromanches, we looked for some hot food. There are plenty of places to eat and we had been in some of them. The Hotel Le Normandie looked inviting so in we went. We sat on the terrace and within a couple of minutes, we were attended to. Menus were delivered on request. After deciding what we... More

There were seven of us and we were seated quickly and easily. The menu's took a while to arrive, but the food arrived quickly after ordering. Food was ok - between the seven of us, we had quite a wide range from mussels to omelette, wine to squash, and no one seemed to have any complaints but then no one... More

Had a terribly odd smelling cheese omelette with nasty frozen chips. The location however was excellent and for the view alone I gave three stars. Wouldnt return.

This brasserie is awful, it's not even acceptable in a downmarket English resort. Even if you have to drive on 10 miles to eat, do it. This brasserie must be owned by a German getting his own back at the British who flock here. We came for lunch on Easter Sunday. Over £10 for a soggy croquet madame with an... More
