It was a lovely day, this restaurant was fairly quiet with plenty of seating outside. We had our small dog with us, a miniature dachshund, but they would not let us eat there, even outside. So no idea if the food is good or not but if you have a dog with you don't bother trying, they simply said NON.

Being a vegetarian (well, I do eat fish) I find it can be a challenge to eat out in the Lot and Dordogne as many restaurants focus on duck, things cooked in duck fat, and or course fois gras. The standard fall back of omelette gets boring, but a few years ago we stumbled upon the Auberge de la Rode... More

Wonderful Sunday lunch. Country restaurant on a beautiful October afternoon. Country pate, Boeuf Bourguignon , divine potatoes, and an iced walnut mousse. Loved it.

This restaurant was very conveniently positioned for us as it was literally just across the main car park from where we were staying (Le Petit Castelet), just a 2-3 minute walk including a short flight of stairs leading from our gite up to the carpark. Like most of the restaurants in Domme they offer a choice of three set menus... More

Had one of the best set meals here at Auberge de la Rode for €17. Staff we're friendly and efficient. We sat outside with a view of the little square, a small amount of traffic passing by. The food was excellent, with a good choice. Would highly recommend this place. We visited in early September and they seemed to turn... More

My husband, two young children and I had a delicious meal at the Auberge de la Rode, lovely service, gorgeous carpaccio de boeuf, tasty confit de canard and followed by a creamy creme brûlée! We went there based on TA reviews and were not disappointed. Great place for children too.

Ate here the other day. Was very busy. Staff quickly cleared a table and seated us. Had the 17€ fix prix menu which was lovely. Goats cheese on toast. Chicken and mash. Walnut soufflé. Servings were spot on as felt stuffed afterwards. Very reasonably priced. Service was excellent, well done spot on. Child's menu more than adequate. English translation too.... More

We ate twice here and would have eaten there more often had they not been closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. The beef bourgignon and walnut ice cream were delicious and my Husband loved the chicken and lentils - both on the 21 Euro set menu. Wine of the house was extremely cheap and very good. The service was friendly, even... More

We had dinner here twice while staying in Domme and both were outstanding. It's a small family run restaurant, all of whom are very friendly. The goat cheese salad was delicious and the beef Bourguignon was the best we have ever had. Delicious desserts as well such as the iced walnut souffle and the creme brulee. Very traditional French cooking... More
