Situated at the summit of the medieval town of Domme, on the Esplanade, which dominates the Dordogne valley. From the restaurant, which is shaded in harmonious yellow and blue to the rooms with antique furniture, you can experience and enjoy the Dordogne thanks to cuisine based on the flavours of the south-west intensified by inventive notes.

This is the first time I have visited this restaurant, normally I avoid places in high tourist areas. This restaurant has a great outlook at the top of the town overlooking the valley below. We sat outside and enjoyed the view. The restaurant offers good quality food, excellent bread accompaniment and good wines. The service was good and we thoroughly... More

Excellent food, service, view, atmosphere and wines! Our dinner was just incredible. The salmon fume, fois gras and magnet were prepared in such a beautiful manner. It was very enjoyable.

It's a long ride up mountains to reach the cliff upon which the restaurant is perched literally. Nevertheless, it is worth the effort. The view over the valley is incomparable for the area. Our meal was an enjoyable multi-course affair. During our dinner no less than 10 very colorful hot air balloons drifted right over us on the terrace. Suggest... More

Booked table prior to arrival in France , and did consider cancelling having gone there for drinks and also for lunch prior to dinner date. On both occasions service negligible and at lunch in fact experienced blatantly rude service from waiter who found it inconvenience to have to even hand us a menu. However, as a group of 5 and... Went to Domme and found ourselves beside the L'Esplanade whilst looking at the amazing view down over the Dordogne valley. Asked if they could manage a table for lunch given we could see it looked like a super place and we would have a vip view from the hilltop from our table. After much deliberation they found us a table... More

The presentation of our lunch was absolutely superb, both in terms of the food and the staff. At each course the waitress would explain what was on our plates. A most delicious lunching experience with fantastic views from the terrace.

Most other reviews have this right. It is a comfortable 3 star hotel in a great position in a lovely village overlooking the river and countryside. The restaurant is aiming for fine dining but if is not really getting what this means. The position on the terrace is absolutely beautiful and we needed sunglasses for most of the meal. Where... On a sunny day, perched on the cliff overlooking the Dordogne, this terrace is hard to beat. It is a well established family business, welcoming locals and tourists alike. We have known it for twenty years and have enjoyed every meal there. The lunch we enjoyed recently was a perfect blend of traditional and innovative. The menu was varied, offering... More

The restaurant is in a stunning location, with views out over the countryside from Domme. On a warm evening, it was a lovely ambiance. But, the restaurant is just not up to the standard of the league they are trying to play in. The service was excruciatingly slow (e.g. it took over an hour and a quarter just to get... More

Loved everything on the menu. Pricey, but completely worth the experience. The foie gras and lamb were our favorites. And the chocolate cake and strawberry tart. So so good!
