Nicaragua is lucky to have Kanpai!

Kanpai is the best Japanese restaurant in Nicaragua! The Washoku (food) is always fresh and super delicious, it´s really superior sushi. The Chef´s and owner´s, Masaya and Rick always greet with their patrons with warm smiles. There are surprise dishes on the menú often, which keeps things quite interesting. Having been to Japan myself before as I walked into Kanpai,... More

We just ate here this evening. My spouse wanted to try the restaurant. Thanks to other reviews we were able to pinpoint the location (thanks!). The food was great: delicious goyoza and Thai green curry (the special) for me, and the salmon roll and a pork dish for spouse. I also enjoyed a tasty Macua - "the national drink", I... More

We noticed this cozy, funky looking restaurant from the street and finally stopped by tonight. Coming from Vancouver, where Japanese cuisine is practically a staple, we had low expectations. As it turns out, the gyoza was the best we'd ever had! Then we went on to enjoy and amazing Thai curry, pork cutlet, Oyaka-don and chicken teriaki (there were 6... More

Sushi is about the experience and the food a valuable combination that creates the perfect experience. The owner who is from Japan has accomplished that in this relaxing atmosphere he has created. A little off the beaten path, head to the main market in Granada from the main square and you find small hand written signs to guide you on... More

What a treat. 2 blocks from the back of the main square this Japanese and Thai designed restaurant calmed and soothes the soul away from the more well known tourist bars. The Thai Chicken Roll was superb and the service and chat with the head chef delightful. They even have buzzers on the table to let your waiter know you'd... More

We'd like to know how the chef makes the teriyaki chicken breast so moist and juicy. Just passing through Granada , we were looking for a place off the beaten track. I hope that you can find this place. Vale la pena! It's close to the central Park. Crunchy cabbage salad.

So nice to find an authentic Japanese restaurant during our trip through Nicaragua. The food was great, nice setting, and the staff was very accommodating (we had 3 kids with us). One must try the gyoza, and eat it as soon as it comes to your table. Delicious when they're piping hot. Also, looks like a great place to chill... More

We tried this place as we were just looking to try out some unusual food whilst here in Granada. I just have one thing to say, WOW!! The sushi is amazing, the teriyaki chicken is simply gorgeous! With over 100 restaurants to choose from in Granada we found ourselves back here the following night! We had cravings all day for... More

Since living in Granada for the past two months, Kanpai has quickly become a go-to spot for dinner and drinks. First off, the ambience at Kanpai is amazing. Cozy and comfortable from the moment you walk in the door. The service staff is always welcoming and the owners really make you feel more like a friend than a customer. For... More
