This restaurant is awned by a Japanese guys called Masaya as the town in Nicaragua. He is very friendly and it's a very good quality. It's the best place to eat sushi, maki, tai curry, etc .. The place is quite and peaceful with a nice decoration.

If you are expecting an authentic Japanese dining experience, you will be disappointed. But If all you crave is a little taste of something different, this will deliver. Good rolls, no nigiri. But, this is Nicaragua, right? Nice atmosphere, decent service. Good sake. Worth a stop, but just go with reasonable expectations.

Always excited to go back to Granada and each time Kanpai is on the list of restaurants to visit. Sushi rolls are always great and freshly made. Gyoza is hand made entirely and worth any wait. Staff is always friendly and good times are always waiting.

Initially I questioned the idea of a Japanese restaurant in Nicaragua. I was pleasantly surprised when my sushi came. It tasted fresh and the presentation was exceptional. I've been to Kanpai multiple times and each time I've ordered different things. The fresh curries are exceptional and have me coming back for more! It's hard to find good restaurants in Granada... As we walked in, a couple emerged (backpackers) and exclaimed "it's not the cheapest place in town but it was well worth it." They were right. This place has an amazing atmosphere and the chef is very friendly (along with the staff) when he isn't busy in the kitchen. Normally, I like to eat traditional local food when I am... More

They were out of rice and pot stickers when we came. All we had was a spicy tuna roll, which was okay but not enough to forgive them for running out of rice at a japanese restaurant. Ten minutes after we ordered they told us they were out of rice and it would be 20 minutes for more rice. I... More

Sushi in Granada Nicaragua? No way. That's what I said too! It was outstanding sushi. Im from California, and love me some sushi! I've got to be completely honest, DAMN GOOD SUSHI. I had a spicy tuna roll and a tuna maki. My buddy had a Cali roll and a chefs choice... No idea, but both super yummy too! The... More
