The best thing about this restaurant was its ambiance. The place was packed! We were lucky to have reserved a table. It was Saturday night and there was a live band playing. Everybody seemed to be in a festive mood. We were also in a good mood and we wanted to have good food and wine. Yes, we did have...

Very good place for eating GUAPOTE, from Nicaragua's Great Lake! Very nicely located next to Granada's cathedral, it will make for a great walk after eating nice Guapote!
It took 36 minute for credit card transaction. After that I monitor all my transaction on my account for the next 48 hrs. Week later the same transaction was posted. But my financial institution re inverse me the charge. Keep the eyes on your charge account. Beef selection limited. Avoid rush hour it take for ever the cooking preparation.
El Zaguan was recommended to my group of 3 girls by our hotel, Hotel Plaza Colon, and what an amazing dinner it was! The chimichurri steak was some of the best I have ever had. A great restaurant to visit for one's first night in Granada.
My parents and two other couples came to visit me and my fiance in Nicaragua - we took them to Granada and wanted to take them out for a special dinner their last night here - a friend recommended El Zaguan without hesitation. I called and made a reservation and we had no trouble being seated immediately once we arrived....

We ate here twice while in Granada. The food is wonderful and the service is friendly. Atmosphere is delightful.
The wait staff is professional, friendly and always gives us a little extra surprise. The wines are chosen wonderfully and not marked up at all. High quality beef and other meats, the greatest coconut flan on earth.
We were told that El Zaguan was a great restaurant and we agree. Food and and service is excellent. Steak, chicken and fish are grilled here. Nicaraguan beef is famous and excellent. We had the first thing on the menu which is a grilled tenderloin steak. It comes with a great garlic dipping sauce, small salad, potato, plantain and rice...

Can't give a 5 just because the dessert was a dissappointment (tres leche). Other than that, it has been our best meal in Granada. Steamed fish was wonderful as was the sausage. Not cheap but worth it.
