Palmeras in Zamboanga City was almost full the night we visited. It is a roofed outdoor restaurant that offers typical Filipino favourites and of course their native Zamoboanga delicacies which include their famous giant Kurachas (crabs). The menu includes some Japanese dishes particularly sushi and sashimi. Good food. Quick and friendly service.

My co-workers and I were brought here when we visited our regional office in zambo. We have the seafood platter which was rather good, a platter of pancit which was average but good enough compare to others and mixed vegetables which was quite delicious. I enjoyed it a lot. But what I like most was the dessert, which they call... More

Having read other reviews of the place my expectations were rather high - but in the end the only thing that was rather high was the bill. Food was OK but rather average, nothing outstanding to go out of the way for and spend more than elsewhere. The mixed meat & seafood platter was OK but nothing to write home... More

Everything else in the menu, is just a filler until that moment you order the dessert that is called Knickerbocker. What is a knickerbocker? it is their version of the Halo halo What's in it. It's a little fruit salad with buko pandan cream/ jelly, and strawberry ice cream. It may come out intimidating, but i assure you... even if... More

Palmeras is one of the best restaurants in Zamboanga City, It should be in the itinerary of visitors. The food is very good and relatively cheap for its quality and service. Their crispy pata is a must-try. Their knickerbocker is the best of its kind around. Rigodon is a very spacious venue for parties and other big occassions. Their hotel... More

One word: Knickerbocker. That's the very reason why I (and other locals and travelers) never fail to drop by Palmeras during my trips to Zamboanga. Knickerbocker is a localized version of an American dessert made up of scoops of strawberry flavored ice cream on top of fresh tropical fruits. Its halo-halo meets fruit salad - a refreshing Zamboanga treat. Palmeras... More

I came here thrice from my 5-day trip in Zamboanga just for their knickerbocker. Their service is rather slow so, dine here if you have he luxury of time to wait. We had to wait for around 30-45 minutes for our food. Their food is tasty, but nothing extraordinary. We ordered the seafood platter and calamares, and lechon kawali on... More
