Very Flexible

We enjoyed the food (they respected our religious constraints) but there were not many varieties. I firmly believe that they can improve on that!

The setting is wonderful and its a fantastic venue for kids as they can use the pool and go down to the beach. Very relaxed. Service however can be slow and frustrating and, for locals, its quite expensive. In summer we go fairly regularly but we hate the fact that its usually a buffet on Sundays which makes for an... A Nice sushi special menu, very affordable, a great beach view from the restaurant. Open to mauritians, ambiance with a guitar musician and kids can enjoy the pool while you relax on a sun bed, Enjoyable!

We were renting a villa close to Tamarina Hotel and went for drinks on a couple of nights to La Madrague. It's at a great location: view over the Tamarin Bay (for great sunsets), with trees that have huge fruit bats (flying foxes) flying in and out at sundown. The service is friendly, although the quality depended on the night... More

I had grilled vegetables as a starter, and they were among the best I've ever had (but a tiny portion). A tasty vegetable curry with white rice (was not on the menu) and a delicious banana flambé without ice-cream as dessert. Everything was very good, service was a bit confused, the pineapple juice was not well blended but I asked... More

Excellent food with great service. The position of this Restaurant is perfect with a view over Tamarin Bay. Wonderful place for romantic dinners. Can be reached by driving or by walking across Tamarin Beach which in itself is very romantic.lol

I'm no fan of buffets and the Madrague did nothing to change my mind. The resort throws the food in at the Madrague for free and it's no wonder. We had to pay $100AUD for it and wish'd we hadn't. Four different kinds of curry on offer, including a tagine, but all tough as old boots. One interresting chicken salad... More

By the beach, it is a perfect setting for sundowner cocktails if pricey. Similarly dinner had excellent attentive service and high quality food - it had great flavours and presented very well but unfortunately not that memorable, can't remember what I ate! Only a set menu was available when we went, at 3000 for two with a glass of wine... More

Food was prepared at the counter but very slow. Starters seemed to be mainly the same each night.
