Wild Wolf Brewing Company, established November 11, 2011, is one of just a few mother/son operations in the country. Danny, a classically trained Brewmaster by the Siebel Institute in Chicago, and his mom, a business savvy entrepreneur, have turned a family passion for craft beer into one of the fastest growing breweries in Virginia. The brewery and restaurant is situated in the heart of the Brew Ridge Trail and features a wide selection of hand-crafted beers as well as the freshest local foods in Central Virginia-all in a century old, revitalized Nelson County school house. The ten acre property features an authentic Biergarten, shaded by a protective canopy of 60-year-old Siberian Elms, including a charming gazebo, large Koi pond, and working water wheel. In addition, an outdoor pavilion has been enclosed to allow for a four season dining experience. The pavilion hosts live music every weekend year round. Inside the restaurant, guests are treated to a rustic dining experience, including wrap-around porches that provide stunning views of the surrounding mountains and property. Toward the back of the old schoolhouse guests enter the new building which houses a lively sports bar as well as our brewing facility.

Very good food, Great beer selection!

We stopped in on a chilly Saturday afternoon, to have a flight of beers and an appetizer. We needed to make a choice of which to buy for our (home) Kegerator. Our plan was to have the flight, and an appetizer, then go to another brewery (SR 151 is known as "Alcohol Alley") for lunch and another... read more

We have eaten here on several occasions and the food has always been excellent. The waitstaff has always been friendly and they have made excellent recommendations for food and beverage. Not as crowded as some of the other local breweries and they offer a lot of friendly customer service

We ate at Wild Wolf early one evening and had wonderful attentive service. I have a food allergy and they prepared a delicious catfish dish. We did the beer sampler--some not my favorite, but others were quite good. My husband enjoyed the special of the evening-short rib tacos. Only draw back was the chips and salsa--

Many thanks for the nice review. We wanted to follow up and see what the issue was with the chips and salsa. They are not really a menu item - did you get them with a B&B coupon? Was something wrong? Thanks much! More

Had the chance of dining here on a Friday afternoon and was definitely pleased. Their burgers made with locally sourced grass fed beef were amazing. I also like the fact that the spent mash from the brewing process is fed to the cows. Service was great and the server was very knowledgeable on all of their beer offerings. Will definitely... More

We had the opportunity to stop and have both flights of beer and the pork tacos. The whole experience was wonderful. Our server Justin was very knowledgeable of all the beers and spent alot of time explaining each beer and then he brought out the most amazing pork nachos that we have ever eaten. If you have the chance I... More

We made this a stop on our Brew Ridge Trail Tour because it seemed to have a great, varied menu. It was beyond our expectations! This brewery is a gluten-free diner's dream. Just about every item on the menu can be created as gluten-free and the full flavor remains in tact. There is no real option for gluten-free beer but... More

The Wild Wolf Brewing Company is a great place to drink beers and eat delicious food. They serve two beers flights, one with the house beers ("American Pilsner", "Blonde Hunny", "Wee Heavy", "Dry Stout", "Alpha Ale" and "Primal Instinct IPA") and another one with the seasonal beers ("Vienna Lager", "Nutty Wolf", "Spiced Honey Saison", "Howling Pumpkin" and "Kick It Hunny").... While staying in Waynesboro we wanted to try some of the local breweries. The Wild Wolf was my pick and I'm glad I went with my gut on this one. We had the smokehouse sampler and the pulled pork tacos.....YUMMMM!!! We also did the sampling of beer so we could decide. Also, a great choice. I had the pumpkin ale... More
